Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist is leading incumbent Gov. Rick Scott in his campaign to retake the governor's mansion as a Democrat.

Charlie Crist didn't do such a swell job the first time around himself, but a lukewarm tub of nacho "cheese" would do less damage than Gov. Voldemort.

Man, I wish Alex Sink had won......

Nice. I often post the same pic with the original wording on other forums and it saddens me how almost no one gets the reference.

"Scott leads among white voters and Republicans."

I'm no grammar Nazi but isn't that redundant?

Anyone have an open position north of the Mason/Dixon, or west of the Colorado? I need out of this chicken-shiat SouthEast corridor.

Good lord she ran a pathetic campaign.

But IIRC, Crist is partly responsible for Scott.  Didn't he bail on re-election because he didn't think he could win the primary, and instead made a shot for Senator?

Whatever the case, I'm looking forward to Scott taking it on the chin.

Hi my name is Rick Scott.  I made millions under our old health care system and that's why I oppose Obamacare.

/why help the people when you can get rich screwing them

Even many of the hardcore crazy conservatives in FL don't like Rick Scott...I mean they don't find him conservative enough, but enemy of my enemy...

There's that, and some of initiatives were just plain boneheaded.  And he's done a 180 on like 80% of the stuff he's proposed.

Just some? Although, he did recently make a contrived effort to throw some cash at education now that he's coming up for reelection.

We are pretty much doomed when are choices are between a lawyer and a big business man.

How about we do away with all fundraising and lobbying, and publicly fund elections instead? I think we'll find ourselves on a path where we can see democracy again.

Never happen until they drop this RINO purity test nonsense, and take the keys to the bus away from the teabaggers.

When the Democrats then welcome the moderate Republicans in and promote them above the Democratic politicians who were already in the party is where I have the problem with it.

Why? If the voters pick Charlie Crist in the primary, why shouldn't Florida Democrats support him? Likewise, how is a moderate Republican supposed to "move the party towards the middle" when they can't win the their primary?

I see you point there with him.  But I wish there were a better example.  His switch seemed a bit craven.  Crist's was because he was forced.  But the difference is arguable at best.

I am okay if the voters pick him, but I have a problem with the party establishment choosing a former Republican for name recognition and hopes of gaming the election.

As a native, right about now I would vote for Ted Bundy over Rick Scott if that was the choices.
