This isn't a backyard chipper, this is a piece of industrial machinery. If there aren't federal PLUS state regulations requiring such things, I'd be surprised, because the GOP tells us every day that we're already over-regulated and regulations kill jobs.

Which in my book is a lot better than killing, you know, actual people.

(Never had to deal with lock-out/tag-out procedures myself, but even this white-collar cube jockey can see they're just common sense. Which is probably why management let this slide; too many people in the upper ranks have never worked on the floor and just. Don't Get. It.)

If you have a wood chipper that has no way to lock it out, you need a new wood chipper.
