I'd almost let Ironic slide on this one.

I had no idea that band was still around. I listened to them in high school somewhere around 1996 to 1998. Is Switzerland like Mexico in that they just take the stuff we thought was cool 10 to 20 years ago and make it their own?

All he wanted was his moment on stage, and maybe a Pepsi.

Either that, or he heard they were recording the gig and he wanted to do down on their permanent record.

People of Nordic and German descent seem to love "heavy metal" (I hate that term).  It's like hardwired into their genes somehow.  I've never quite understood it.

That, and the fact that metal music just seems to take itself way, way too seriously, both fans and musicians alike.

/Aside from GWAR, who arguably have had their tongues planted firmly in cheek for three decades.

Yep, no guarantees that other drunk patrons are going to catch you.

Amazing how that gravity thing works.
Even more amazing how hard that floor is...

Watch out for that first step (leap), it's a doozy.

Ummmm... Suicidal Tendencies started in '83... by the time YOU got around to them, they were already 13-18 years old...

Saw them in '92 (I think) when Pantera & Exodus opened in NYC.

I then helped escort Diamond Darrell to the aftershow party in Hells Kitchen.

Met Rocky, Tru, Dan Lilker ... Good times!

I got knocked the f-out stage diving at a show at Jimmy's in New Orleans in 1985.  I can't remember who was playing but I remember the event.  I got up on stage and jumped at a really big guy.  He pushed up with his hands and flipped me over his back and i landed on my head.  The next thing I remember was being dragged out of the club and deposited on the sidewalk outside.  After about a half hour of not knowing where I was I was able to stand.  It looked like New Orleans but I knew I had a test the next day at LSU in Baton Rouge.  I couldn't remember how I got down there at the time (I rode the Greyhound Bus).  I ended up hitching a ride to Baton Rouge with some people I didn't know, still confused about why the hell I would be at a show in New Orleans when I had a test the next day.  Should have had a CT to verify that I wasn't bleeding, but I survived.

Nope, mine.

BTW, I saw them a couple/few years ago. They've toured off and on over the years; but not sure if there are any other original members besides Mike. They only had one guitarist when I saw them too, which really takes away from their sound. Even worse, I thought I may have noticed some "extra" guitar coming from somewhere. Still tickled my nostalgia button, though, as I was a pretty big fan at one time.

I saw ST in concert back in '94 at an outdoor stadium in Des Moines. It rained during the first song and Muir slipped and gashed his knee open. They did 2 more songs before quitting early.

Kids these days don't understand that you only stage dive when the crowd is so densely packed that they CAN'T move out of the way. They either put their hands up and catch you or land on their heads and break their necks.

Otherwise jumping like that is crazier than Charles Manson eating Fruit Loops on your front porch.

I miss the shows where the women with beautifully shaped breasts would stage-dive face first into the crowd.  Especially the topless one.
