Danger Room isn't as well known as Holodeck.

Whoever can combine holodeck technology with sexbots will be the world's first multitrillionaire.

As has been stated before, a holodeck would be both the greatest and last human innovation.

"So, what did you do today?"
" I had sex with all of the Rockettes at once on top of a gigantic marshmallow, swam in a lake of beer then went hang-gliding over the moon."

Or, for the less inventive:

That gif never fails to deliver.

Uh, did they trademark Holodeck? How the hell can they do that when the word is practically synonymous with Star Trek?

Why are they looking for holocaust survivors?

Oculus Rift + Omni Move != success.

Requirements for military VR training (as I remember from a doco a while ago):

1. Must be able to move/see in 360 degrees.

2. Must be able to wear, or simulate the wearing, of combat gear (a set weight limit, I don't recall the exact amount).

3. Must be sufficiently accurate for firearms training (i.e. better than duck hunter) (Noted that VR goggles like Oculus Rift is considered to be unacceptable for this application.)

4. Must be able to run, then do a forward roll, then get up and run some more.

First three are somewhat easily doable with today's tech.  Adding in that fourth requirement is what kills the dream.

Huh. I know the person who wrote the music in the video. She's a music teacher, and wrote it for a fashion show.
