There is no way Newsmax is reporting the truth. Cherry picked poll or some other trolling in the headline.

Fark's conservative mod contingent is a bunch of twats. Even providing these asswits with a platform is helping America suck just a little bit more.

Its an ABC-WaPo poll. Townhall has included a link to the original document. For your convenience, here is a paste of the proper section:

Q: How much confidence do you have in Obama to make the right decisions for the country's future - a great deal of confidence, a good amount, just some or none at all?

.....what constitutes some compared to none?  If you think he's doing a good job a third of the time, that would constitute some, right? That's a damn sight more than "none"

I see FOX News has continued to catapult the propaganda at an admirable success rate

According to the link at the Washington Post - ABC News website, Obama is the big winner.

While 63% of registered voters feel Obama can't make a right decision, 72% are sure Democrat congress-critters will screw things up, and 80% think the Republican congress-critters don't have a clue.

We could solve all this nomination business easily and generate revenue to boot - just parade the nominees around the congressional chambers and let America vote via text message ($1.99 SMS fee may apply).

So, the poll results are not 63% at "None at all", but more like 35% "None" with another 28% having merely "Some".
Where have I seen that sort of thing before....

So the headline is lying, shockingly.

Looks like somebody's not getting a third term.

I want to see this poll correlated with the sources from which each person polled gets their news.

I also want to see some sort of breakdown between "he'll make the wrong decision" and "he'll make the right decision but it won't matter because Congress."

I know, neither's going to happen, but those are what I'd want to see before putting any faith in that poll.

Wat?

2014-01-29 10:41:09 AM
Most Americans don't know what they want...they just know they want it...and they're disappointed that they don't have it.
They typically have no confidence on anyone that is up there.

And in the end, either vote on their whim at the time...or who they've been told to vote for.
Rarely is a vote or opinion based on facts, the current situation or real history, trend analysis, review of non-biased media.
Most just don't invest themselves that way.
Most don't have an agenda.

I judge people just as harshly as they judge their leaders.

To be fair, Newsmax told the lie first - subby just repeated it.

There are people out there who actually believe NewsMax tells the truth?

I always thought it tried very hard to be a conservative's version of The Onion.

Weird that people think it's real.

Let's see if all these numbers mean anything when it comes time to vote. Mr. Obama might have a tough time getting reelected.

Four out of five Americans don't trust GOP

Just 19% of Americans have confidence in Republicans, while a whopping 80% do not. A new poll that found Americans with serious doubts about all their elected officials, but Republicans scored particularly badly-even with their own voters.

oh it's all too real, sites like NewsMax have the exact same arguments as people like George Will, it's just they don't use pretty verbiage.

Obama makes lots of right decisions. It's not his fault idiot Rs just fight them all and negotiate him down to "less good". Even caving a little is the right decision if it gets an inch of good.

Yes, a total breakdown in faith that the government won't foul up what it tries to do. That's much better than people thinking just the President's an incompetent.
