hailin: I'm guessing Montana is for badasses. *checks link* Yup. And true.

Rode my bicycle through Montana a couple summers ago. The only badasses I met were others on bikes, and they, like I were just passing through.

I disagree. Especially the far northern reaches of the state are particularly awful. Well, the LA area is nice though, so you should go there when you come to visit, or if you're planning on moving to CA.

Live there a while, then go back to another state. You'll understand if you like to drink, smoke, hunt and shoot, or anything else the state should have minimal say about.

Isn't Missouri where they SWAT team your ass and kill your dogs for a little bit of weed?

What's Bing? The default search engine that shows you all the porn stuff Google no longer thinks you need to see. I still like Google Maps, GMail and Calendar but I think for more than a few years Google Search isn't what it used to be. It's like they forgot what made their search good in the first place.

Couldn't say, never got caught. I was goingfor nations 2ND lowest excise taxes.

Also, no consumer fireworks laws.

Really, MO is awesome if you live in STL, KC, COMO, and have access to the rest of the state.

Gonz: Glitchwerks: FizixJunkee: What's Bing?

A search engine no one would really care about if they didn't pay people to use it.

It's actually got a way better image search than Google.

Yup, still use Google for many things, but when it comes to "image" search, Bing is where it is at.

They didn't, they just don't care anymore.  But it grew their market share, so now they've moved on to using their dominant position to actually shape and define what they want their users to see and what they want the web to be able to offer.  In other words, it's no longer about what you or I want, it's what Google wants.

Smirky the Wonder Chimp: I grew up there, and I lived there for years.  There's good and bad people everywhere.  Yes, the economy's in the worst part of the shiatter, there's plenty of the Mongs that Time Forgot swarming around who routinely break shiat and do their damndest to keep it broken, and unfortunately they're REALLY motivated to vote, but that's true of anywhere.  There's a lot of absolutely gorgeous rivers, woods and mountains if you're into nature, there's awesome, friendly people and--especially if you're in the northern part of the state--even (dare I say it) culture worth taking in.

It's not a complete wasteland.

thank you Smirky.

You can get a malware toolbar with ask.com

I finally got my mom to switch to Chrome on her new laptop and somehow the default search engine got swapped to Ask.

10-1 it was a java update or flash/pdf/assorted other adobe shiat

I found ask.com installed on my work pc. Very embarrassing.

Are there any lawyers out there who could answer this question?
Can we internet users, class action sue the makers of Bing for breaking personal property?
My computer is personal property, therefor my internet browser of choice is personal property.
Bing broke my browser, so the they are liable for damages.

What do you think?

I think it's possible that Bing broke your head.  I'm not sure that it's possible for a search engine to break your browser, unless it's maliciously exploiting security holes to get your computer to install software without asking. Maybe it's possible if you use IE for a web browser, but if you're doing that, your head and your browser both started out broken, so I'm not sure how much worse Bing could have made them.

Mind you, the number one results was "Bing is the worst search engine ever", so maybe I should give you the benefit of the doubt.

What ever happened to Google bombing?
