Walker: And Atlanta? Don't get me started.

Just spent 3 hours going from Buckhead to Decatur, I messed up my side-street route and got dumped into Downtown. Absolute nightmare, was just reading that the cell towers got overloaded as well. When you finally got out of the jam people were going stupid slow, well slower than what was called for.

Yeah, but it probably won't be as bad as wet years.  When we have a wet winter there is a whole lot more growth, which then dries and burns.  We'll have plenty of fires to be sure but the dry winters aren't as bad for that as the wet ones.  (but we really do need rain quite desperately rain to recharge aquifers)

This is useful to such a HUGE percentage of Fark's readership that I can see why it'd be greened to the Main page.

Well, six years is a long time to be doing something these days. And restaurant ownership looks like a special madness, you build up your dream location and try to hand responsibility to people you don't pay enough to care that they're driving it into the ground.

My wife and I had dinner at this place about a year ago and saw Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana at the bar. We were seated a couple tables away from Jon Hamm.

I get a kick out of celebrity sightings.

Strobeguy: A meatball and cheese sandwich is 15.00??

It's an artisan meatball with locally sourced ingredients, lightly toasted to perfection. And do you expect cheese from happy cows to be cheap? Good day, sir.

It might be cold here, but man... all this water out here. We got a little snow the other day, which looks nice for the season, but I can't help but think that come spring, it's all going to melt and turn into life sustaining water. And we're supposed to get a little more snow, which is like rain (you remember rain right?) but frozen, on Thursday.

Subby obviously has been hitting the martinis a bit early. No real precipitation on the radar here in southern Maine for the next several days.

Either the NJ shore is not located in the northeast, or we didn't get the memo.  Woke up to an additional 4" of snow this morning.  Goes nicely on top of the 9" we got last week of which most is still around due the fact that it hasn't been above freezing here for any length of time since.

Apparently you guys didn't get the memo. We decided at the meeting to send this storm south. But if you want to keep shoveling then by all means you go ahead and keep that snow in your backyard.
