Tom Perkins:
Was on Board of Directors of News Corp.

He fantasizes he is James Bond villain:
Has a yacht called "Dr. No" which has it's own website at www.spectrepacific.com
So he's Dr. No from SPECTRE and he's biatching that the rich are being discriminated?

I really love this "argument."  You gamed the system for decades, bought influence to mold laws to your benefit and the disadvantage of the middle and lower classes, and made yourselves richer than rich.  But it only became "class warfare" when someone finally woke up and called you on it?

FARK YOU.

Most of the uber rich folk I've heard of are on the liberal side of the aisle. How's that working out for ya?

Before you go and commit class warfare, you libs better be careful or these heroic job creators will just GO GALT and then you'll have nothing at all.  They'll all be at Galt's Gulch zooming around on super trains that run on air and having romance novel sex with all of the women that are into Ayn Rand (oh, they exist.  trust me.)

Without this venture capitalist, who will invest in your webpage that aggregates tweets of funny cats?  How will you get funding for your app that maps cupcake shops?  Didn't think about that, did you, libs?

Same arguments as when income tax (permanently) introduced 100 years ago.

But that had been foreshadowed by books and articles describing the activities of the "Robber barons" with more money than they knew what to do with

Parallels today?

You're not going to get the super rich. Unless you can find a way to tax them that their accountants can't dodge. Like a tax at the point of sale?

Or you tax them so little that it's not worth dodging.

Find a way to get to their off shore accounts.  The outrage over any threat to those is unequaled.

"Writing from the epicenter of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its 'one percent,' namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the 'rich,'" he wrote, opening a letter to the editor of the Wall Street Journal.

We are much more like Rome than we are like France. We have our Bead and Circuses Junk food and Reality TV to keep us placated. And the propaganda machine is running full tilt. 60 minutes (once a decent news program) is now a complete corporate info-shill hour. Last weeks topic was "How investment banks are our friends". They gushed over one token guy they helped and didn't say a damn thing about how they ruined millions of Americans lives and got off pretty much Scott-free.

Have you seen the amount of land that foreign investors are buying?! Just set up a company off shore to buy the land and rent it from them.

You're not going to get the super rich with that.

Laobaojun: Find a way to get to their off shore accounts. The outrage over any threat to those is unequaled.

We don't tax wealth we tax income. By the time it hits the offshore accounts it's not income.

And no one is going to come up with a wealth tax

Then you just get what Jack Welch did. Let the company pay for everything, up to and including your laundry. Then the company just writes it off as a business expense.

You're not going to get the super rich with that.

We didn't punish the perpetrators last time and so the cycle repeats until we see greed like we do gluttony. If some fat slob gobbled up 80 percent of the buffet table himself, the rest of the part guests would be rightly incensed. What would they do when the fat man in turn got angry for their indignation?

Getting away with it doesn't mean it's legal. Tax avoidance is still illegal. And tell me there aren't any involved with the 2008 crash that shouldn't be in jail.

If we're really looking to get the super rich, let's just put a bullet in their head and be done with it.
If you're trying to talk up a point of sale tax, you're not going to get the super rich with that either.

Also, it takes far fewer minions to control a given mob than it used to, and that number is decreasing all the time. Fantasies of a French-style revolution are just that, fantasies.

shiat, the working class can hardly even manage to organise a labor union any more, which is the only real shot at class warfare (and there too, workers at the low end are increasingly unnecessary to business).

2014-01-28 05:59:29 PM
Almost every idea the left-wing comes up with to "fark the rich" hurts the poor and middle-class. No doubt when their "revolution" comes and the war on the "1 percent" ends up hitting the top 40% effectively wiping out what was once called the middle to upper middle class they'll sit back and absolve themselves of any fault for the actual implementation of their own ideas. The average Democrat/Green voter is simply too dumb to realize that their biggest problem is themselves though.

C'mon you fatasses, start your armed revolution against the rich. Stop pissing and moaning about how much you're a billy badass and will cut some heads off and start doing it. I can't wait to see how quickly you get gutted by your own folks.
