Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't blame the ground for this one. It was just sitting there, stationary, when the plane ran into it.

Gravity, however...

The aircraft, with 12 people on board, crashed in fog after failing to land on its third attempt...

Sounds like it achieved a landing on it's third attempt. Not a great landing, but a landing none the less.

FTFA: The report found the engine power levers were below the normal in-flight operational range and that a power difference between the engines became significant as a result.

Asymmetric thrust likely caused the plane to go inverted.

If you plow through a guardrail while driving recklessly on a mountain road and go sailing into a ravine then you will have, if only for a fleeting moment, lost control of your vehicle. I probably wouldn't cite "loss of control" as the cause of the accident though.
