(Medium)   We're all looking forward to the day when the Milky Way, Andromeda and the Triangulum Galaxy - the three biggest galaxies in our local group - merge to form "Milkdromeda." Why not look at a nearby triplet that's well on its way to getting there?   (medium.com) divider line 16

"Milkdromeda" is rubbish. "The Andromessium Way" is my suggestion.

Milkdromeda sounds like a SyFy Original.

According to Gravity's Engines (great book if your into black holes), when Andromeda and the Milky Way combine, each with billions of stars in them, a grand total of 6 stars will collide.

He sends one of your stars into a nebula, you put one of theirs in a black hole!

"The Andromessium Way" sounds like a Star Trek fanfic porn.  Not sure what kind, but probably something involving bukkake.

I love galactic collisions - galaxies are so fluid when they pull each other apart.

I haz a sad. Spiral galaxies are beautiful structures, ellipticals are boring old blobs. I'm gonna be disappointed in the aesthetics of Milkdromeda.

Milkdromeda

Portmanteau is for the lazy; think of something original.

"Milkdromeda" is also ridiculous and complete;y ignores Triangulum; where's the love for Triangulum?

Heck if you're gonna do portmanteau, least you could do is Trimilkdromeda; makes it sound like an advertisement.

That is what I was thinking to.

Why is it not Milkdromelum?
