How much did Eccleston's coat cost?

At least no question marks.

Pretty uninspired though.

I started watching the Dr. Who series from the beginning and gave up around 15 minutes in on the first show. Later, I read that the show took awhile to find its legs. When? And why didn't it go back and rewrite the early ones?

Here's the thing you have to know about "Doctor Who"-

It sucks. It always has. But it sucks in that special "British" way, where it *almost* seems like it could be cool, sometimes. But it isn't. It sucks. Lots of people apparently can ignore the fact that it sucks, and focus on that small nugget of coolness using their peripheral vision.

Yeah Chris Eccleston was good but Rose Tyler took some getting used to. Unfortunately she got even more obnoxious but Tennant more than made up for it. I really recommend sticking to it, the series does get much better.

Eh, not a fan. The Doctor has never worn something so drab before, and there really should be a bit of whimsy in it. The red lining and buttoned up collar with no tie is really not anywhere near enough.

Still, if he plays the part well, I won't care.

Notwithstanding that I think the poster was joking, you just described why I kept watching "The Greatest American Hero".  It sucked, but it had such potential.  If only they'd let the guy use the suit properly for a few episodes....

Good. Good actors don't need fancy costumes. That being said I really hate those pants.

It's the lining on the coat, and don't worry, they'll make cheaper versions to sell to the fans. But it's a high quality tailored wool coat, the good ones don't come cheap. But you can make one at Old Navy quality with much cheaper fabric and construction to sell to the cosplayers with no problem.

No idea how much Eccleston's coat cost, but probably a few hundred bucks.

My guess?  It's not a normal regen due to being granted an additional 1+ by the time lords.
