I still got $10 on rehab. I think it's 50/50 between meth and prescriptions.

Right, especially as Putin is in Davos.

It's more like driving down The Hershey Highway.

It's his second term subby.

It does not discount the fact that he is still nuttier than hell.

in Russia meeting with Putin

euphemism?

I bet he's in rehab for gay sex. That seems to be all the rage nowadays with GOPers.

Granted, he won't say "gay sex" because that's still an affront to Jesus or something, but he'll say he was busy toking on the big, thick doobie

"A meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin was canceled because Putin had obligations in Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum annual meeting is taking place."

Denied!

The fact that the male nurse in the detox clinic was frequently shirtless didn't help.

The Stealth Hippopotamus: holy hell we have a congressman missing for "several" weeks?!

He's missed more than a dozen votes, blew off a bunch of campaign stops and his staffers haven't heard from him. He's either in for-pay Turkish prison or rehab.

And who then says proudly he was secretly meeting with a foreign head of state.

I'm sure the GOP kept the receipt.

In Russia, the country where the foreign head of state wasn't actually in at the time.

It's kind of like a frat bro saying "Hey, check out this girl I date raped." "...you were in that room alone, dude."

"I'm on a bipartisan codel. I'm on foreign affairs. Part of my work,"

So my guess of "Turkish Men's Bath House" from the last thread has now taken a commanding lead?

The worst part is that somewhere in Texas a trailer's walls are reverberating with a bellowed "Clovis? CLOVIS! Put that Dale Earnhardt tire what for on the eBays and tell little Aikman he can't go back to refrigerator college - Stockman needs our help stickin it to the libs!"

... if "little Aikman" was a subtle wordplay dig, bravo.

Can't believe we didn't make a bigger deal about a congressman going missing.

Well...we did. And then he texted deadmoron.com to say "it's not fair that the stupid libs are asking where I am"

His staff should have been able to tell people that he was out of the country on Congressional business.  Poor leadership that.

2014-01-27 04:52:57 PM
Why doesn't someone ask who the other 4 congressmen on the delegation were ?

The GOP is so divorced from reality that this actually counts as "damage control".

If I snatched that baseball out of Moises Alou's hands and ruined the Cubs' chances, I'd leave the country, too.

Question.

If Representative Stockman claims he's there on official Congressional business, and he's meeting with foreign heads of state in his official capacity as a member of Congress, wouldn't he be in violation of the Hatch Act?

"Having affairs with foreigners" perhaps?

Keep him in Texas where he belongs.

Steve:
Please name these other five Congressman you were with and explain why this trip/delegation isn't on ANYONE'S calendars or announcements.

I'm not saying that you're a liar, but I have the general impression you're just making things up and are incompetent at it as well.

Wasn't he gone for three weeks? You would think that even if he was on a super-secret foreign affairs mission his staff would still have been able to answer basic questions about where he had gone for all of that time.

It's still weird.

He said that he missed more votes than his counterparts on the foreign trip because, in his words, "I don't have a zillion dollars like Cornyn and have [to] campaign."

No, you have to DO YOUR FARKING JOB. Campaign on your OWN goddam time. It's not that hard to be a farking Congressman, and you're only in session a few months out of the year. Attend Congressional session to do THE ONE THING that you are asked to do, and then you can do whatever the holy fark you farking want to.

I love this whole "I'd have to tell you, but then I'd have to kill you" subtext he has going on.You folks in Texas must be damned proud...

Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.  In light of his public confession he now faces immediate arrest and questioning of all actions he undertook as an unauthorized diplomat negotiating with a foreign government.

If he were smarter, I'd think he was trying to lay a trap for the administration.
