I didn't think I could be equally aroused and depressed, but here we are...

That had potential to be interesting, but it wasn't. Seemed like more of a demo reel for some cinematographer than it was any kind of journalism.

She who fights with monsters should look to it that she herself does not become a monster. And when you troll long into a scene the scene also trolls into you.

^^ Came here to say this. Way too much film-school arty bs.

Did anybody ever get naked? I skipped through the mostly boring stuff, and might have missed it.

SumoJeb: i couldnt find part 2?

i dont think they have released part 2 yet, as this one was released today.  i actually want to know how they felt after shaking their ta-tas for money.  they both looked pretty worse for the wear.

here's an interesting idea: how about actually filming some of the content of your project.

can they do that?

So those chicks think they are better than the srippers at that truck stop... except they are not.

The impression I received was of two relatively earnest, but naïve, people attempting to insert themselves into a world about which they know little, purely for the "shock value" of exposing themselves to such a world for their audience. Didn't do the subject matter justice, didn't do themselves justice, and ultimately just made me dislike both of them for the implicit assumption of superiority communicated during the whole process.

Welcome to art. Not the museum kind of art, but the "I'm an artist" kinda of art. Everyone involved thinks they matter simply because they've asserted that they matter...but too often "artists" are just people that can talk all day without saying a goddamn thing.

Film school kids, hipster-neighborhood art galleries, etc.: almost universally, nothing has any good reason to exist.

Quick synopsis for anyone who hasn't seen the video:

"Hey, we're two white hipster girls from Brooklyn that think it would be TOTES fun to go do a bunch of jobs that we believe are below us! It will be SO EPIC..."

[5 minutes later after stripping in front of a bunch of greasy creep old truckers]

"WAAAAHHHH!!! I want my mommy!"

I always knew that fat, tattooed, drunken, uneducated men were disgusting, sloppy pigs, but this just confirmed it for me.

If that is where strippers go to die, then C-Mowes on the East Side is where they get reanimated...  I'm just sayin'.

I've seen classier clubs...  but I've seen far, far worse.

Uh, mostly, you know, with friends... for bachelor parties and such...

STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!  ;)

I kind of thought at first it was going to be commentary on what women deal with in such places, how they end up choosing that job, etc.  A 'women's issues' piece.

And I'm thinking if this were an hour long documentary it may be interesting; as a 10 minute blurb...  eh, not so much.

Wow. we are two fresh, hot, young girls.  Let's go to the biggest shiathole in the country and take off our clothes in front of a bunch of drunk truckers.  I'm sure it will be awesome.

Jesus.

Yeah this is looking more like an attention whore piece than a documentary about how farked women in low-income "pink collar" jobs can be.

Stippers are self-employed and have to pay stage rent, and depending on your club could be expected to pay some of your tips back to the club, purchase your outfits and other equipment, etc. Only the lusty lady in SF ever unionized:  http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/S-F-Strip-Club-Ratifies-Union-Firs t -in-U-S-2846246.php .
