I don't get this headline. Maybe subby was trying to simulate the sound of someone being carried away by a flying bird. Or maybe like when Machete shot that tethered arrow into the side of the chopper he had just jumped out of into that boat that time, wrapped it around the thug's neck, threw a loop around the helicopter's blades, decapitated the thug and blew up the chopper. Or maybe I'm reading too much into the headline. Jeez, this is too much for a Monday morning.

Cue the YouTube real/fake video of baby snatching eagles made by film students.

From the start of the article:  "A huge eagle, which has the strength to carry off and kill small dogs, is on the loose - in Yorkshire."
From the end of the article:  "Chris, of Hawk Experience Ltd, said the eagle, which has often entertained the crowds at Warwick Castle, posed no danger to people or animal"

I think there's a little contradiction there!

Tale Sez Nikita not learnt to hunt by chasing critters around countryside. For sake of wee goggies & other small animals let's hope so.

About yappy dogs, we need a flock to periodically visit. Next, some pterosaurs, to control the screaming kids. you'd think in a neighborhood with homes over 3k sq ft, the brats would stay inside.

I could use one of these to get rid of the yappy little dog a neighbourhood woman walks every day. As soon as that thing is outside, it starts barking and doesn't shut up until it's back inside.

Some of you more talented farkers should do a shoop of the eagle as a Death Glider from Stargate SG-1.
FTA: "She's massive - like a small glider" . I saw the pose the eagle was in, and thought "Death Glider!" and immediately wished I had photoshop skill.

/maybe someday...

I never realized this until I saw the picture, but the Seattle Seahawk's logo is actually a sea eagle
i2.mirror.co.ukstatic.giantbomb.com
As the only actual sea hawks wikipedia lists is the osprey and the skua, neither of which have the large eagle like beak seen in the logo.
