nekom: Wouldn't that fall under fair use?

Probably not. It's hard to say, though - the four-part fair use analysis is terribly subjective and courts have been wildly inconsistent in its application.

Oh, and AP != "media."

Seriously: fark this guy.

Thankfully they got to use his image to sell stories... probably release it in a book eventually, etc.

Couldn't he get into trouble with Corey for falsely attributing a manufactured quote?

Wow. This guy can't leave it alone.

Yup. It typically goes to the side with the best lawyers/most money/clout.

He should stick to shooting unarmed kids. At least he doesn't suck at that.

When you take the actual photo of someone, you get to use it. George's work here looks like he use an 'app' or something from the actual photo.

No, it isn't good enough that he found a jury of peers to clear him of wrongdoing.  He has to go on to argue that he has been wronged... as part of his grandiose delusions.

I'm thinking:

* Download photo
* Apply photoshop filter at default settings
* Print
* Trace print
* Paint-by-numbers
* Sell on eBay to Derper for profit

...is his modus operandi.

I fully understand, I just find it amusing and pointing out how much money they probably made off using his image and then whine when he uses one of their images to try and make money...
