Wife FAIL. Husband FAIL. Kidney FAIL.

Daily Fail, indeed.

/Possession something something 9/10th of the law.

Let it go ma'am... cause it's gone.

2014-01-26 09:30:33 PM
Can they even DO that?

Well, call Repo Men then.

Yeah, that... that kind of horrible reaction is probably why he checked out of the relationship to begin with.

Well lady, there's no legal way to get it back, but maybe you can make him want to get rid of it. Kill yourself and then haunt the kidney till he begs to have it removed. Trust me, if you try this idea, you'll have no more troubles.

2014-01-26 09:36:42 PM
Legally its not your kidney anymore once you donate it, so no backsies.

Finders keepers.

I thought the article was going to be about George Lopez' ex-wife.

2014-01-26 09:40:44 PM
She should be glad she wasn't fully rejected.  A small part will remain with him, deep inside.

Yeah, it says the transplant was done in 2009, and he left her only last year... it's not like he recovered from surgery and was immediately heading out the door.

2014-01-26 09:45:29 PM
She sounds like a nutjob, if this story is true. I'd want to get away from her too.  If I put together a crazy woman logic scenario, I'm guessing her friend is better looking than her and has always been jealous of this. Then her husband does something for her, he coincidentally leaves his wife shortly after, and the wife assumes it's because he's having an affair with her friend.

He moved his belongings out of their marital home one evening while she was working a night shift at Tesco.
He also took the TV and stereo before posting the keys through the letterbox without a note or letter, she claims.

Diiiiiiick.

i didn't pick up the exact reason for the breakup from the article (he denies an affair), but assuming he's the cad, there are untraceable ways for him to cease breathing--just sayin'...

This woman lost over forty pounds to give a kidney to her husband, not counting the kidney, which must have been prodigious.

Exactly. She seems like she's paranoid and irrational, and that probably had a lot more to do with the split than she's willing to admit.

2014-01-26 10:10:25 PM
As someone with a friend that's needed a kidney for 2 years now and refuses to take a living donor(and thus my offer entirely), I would like to say this woman is a farking disgusting pig and has a shiatty attitude.

Her whole argument reeks of "I gave him a kidney so he should stay with me." It doesn't work that way, and if you're going to donate to someone you know, you should think about what will happen if the relationship goes south after the surgery. Her own damn fault.

And seeing her side of it, I almost don't care if he was having an affair. I wouldn't want to be with her crazy self either.

Yeah, good luck finding a doctor willing to risk his license and prison just so you can feel justified.

I think I know why he might have left.

Her, "I gave you my kidney, and you won't even do the dishes?"
Her, "I gave you my kidney! The least you could do is go watch with me!"
Her, "I gave you my kidney, and you didn't even bring me flowers today!"
Her, "I gave you my kidney, and you won't even give me the remote!"
Her, "I gave you my kidney, so you should give me some jewelry!"
Her, "I gave you my kidney, so...hello? Where did you go?"

This.

I can totally see this going down. Some women, if they even do the smallest thing for their man, will make them remember it and try to use it to guilt them for as long as they can. Now imagine if she is that type of woman, and she just gave him a kidney that saved his life. She would think and act like she owned him.

Let's ask George Lopez how he feels about it...

quatchi: Wife FAIL. Husband FAIL. Kidney FAIL.

Actually, the husband sounds like a reasonable person who was really trying, but eventually just couldn't deal with the woman's paranoid jealousy and control-freak nature.  I mean, she apparently accused him of having an affair every time he didn't spend every available moment with her, in the US that's actually considered a red-flag for an abusive relationship.  And I don't mean by implication, I mean it is actually presented as evidence in court cases and such.

Then, it's a Mail article, so I'm somewhat skeptical that any of these people even exist, and if they do I'm dubious on them even being married and a kidney transplant happening.

// Given he tried to talk her out of it... it probably  was an abusive relationship, and he knew it but hadn't consciously acknowledged it, and was resisting because he knew she was doing it to have something to hold over him.

// Really nice of him to be so mild and complimentary about his ex when interviewed if any of the story's real... didn't even give them anything to spin.  That's some farkin' loyalty right there, I'd be right charmed to have anybody clam up that way for me, whether I was sleeping with 'em or not.

They might be connected--he does something for her friend, wife thinks they're having an affair and goes jealous, he's finally had enough of the accusations and leaves.

Yeah, that's another possibility.

I know someone who left his wife when she had a cancer diagnosis.  Diiiick??  No--she had had it before, it was knocked into remission for 6 years.  During that time she kept playing on her medical issues to be lazy.  That removed any hope of things improving, he left.

Look at it this way, lady, he can't grab his dong now without thinking about you. You should be glad.

That took a lot of nerve to do what he did.

Why does it take a lot of nerve to do what he did? Does she own him or something?

I could believe that.  I could also believe that since his wife gave him a kidney, he was more inclined to help her friend thinking that he was scoring points with/for his wife.

hilarity and contempt ensued

Well, I mean, staying with someone just because they gave you an organ really isn't a reason to stay together.

Her weight might have something to do with him leaving.

/Not saying it's a good reason for leaving...

Granted, the form-fitting shirt in Grimace(TM) purple was probably not the best choice for her.

You just gave another human being a chance for a higher quality of life, you self-centered vagina scab. Do yourself a favor and wash the whore off of your disgusting soul, because I'm willing to bet finding out he's living with another human being who is so willing to ask for a donated organ back is the exact reason he dumped your unlovable ass.
