Condi Rice is never going to run for president.

2014-01-26 09:49:25 AM
Condi always struck me as an incredibly intelligent woman who let her affection for GWB cloud her judgement.

2014-01-26 09:58:46 AM
Those potential candidates are FAR too liberal to ever deliver the true conservative message that Americans are waiting for. Damn RINOs

Huh. Wonder who the six names are who aren't on the vote page -- there are gaps on 3 different rows with 2 vote buttons missing on each.

2014-01-26 10:30:20 AM
I think theocon, jingocon, and xenocon are more catchy than "big government Bible Thumpers", "neoconservatives", and "whack-a-doodles".

Also, it looks like the author left out the "cheap labor conservatives" aka moneycons, or possibly just lumped them in with the jingocons.

2014-01-26 10:35:43 AM
That list is pathetically funny, so how did they not include Louie Gohmert?

2014-01-26 10:37:08 AM
You do realize that if the Republicans manage to hack up someone with a moderate degree of charisma, we could all very easily be f*cked.

I wonder if Newt is going to be selling a book in 2016.

Democrats vote for the worst possible republicans in the primaries, republicans vote for the worst possible democrats, and we're left to choose from the worst possible candidates.  Yay!

Like republicans are ever going to win a national election again no matter who the dems run. Not enough old white people left.

After all the antibrown folk derp and pro-rape antihomogay of the last decade they are boned outside the rural hardcore derp areas. And their jerrymandering doesn't help during a presidential election

Open primaries are one of those ideas that sound great on paper, but don't work in real life.

I thought RON PAUL said that he wasn't going to run again if he didn't get the nomination in 2012.

Oh, that's right I forgot. Republicans are f'ing liars who never keep their promises.

Can we at least wait until after the midterms before the politics tab starts filling up with 2016 shiat?

One vote for that ticket is one too many.

Allen West is a pathetic clown - but do I believe we need someone with the discipline and leadership skills brought by military service, so I voted for Gen. Eric Republican.

Condi Rice is pro choice, which I think makes her a devil worshiping slut in Republicanland.

I voted for Sarah because with just a bit of encouragement she'll start making policy statements that sound like a playmate profile.  I want to be a vegetarian because I like children

2014-01-26 11:19:41 AM
whoever made that list must have just used a fox guest list. john bolton? allen west? they aren't in the running for dog catcher. sure west would like to be taken seriously but he couldn't even hang on to a house seat.

markfara: You do realize that if the Republicans manage to hack up someone with a moderate degree of charisma, we could all very easily be f*cked.

Maybe, but unlikely for several reasons. For one, a Republican with a moderate degree of charisma is a relative term. They'll still have odious beliefs that they don't realize how horrible they sound outside of the echo chamber. Think Mitt Romney's 47% comment or Huckabee's recent shiatty comments about women.

Then even assuming they somehow dredge up a candidate from the murky depths who is smart enough to parrot their amoral agenda without word-vomiting all over their own campaign you still have ALL THE OTHER REPUBLICANS. Someone is going to start talking about rape, or that minorities are lazy, or that poor people are all just irresponsible and deserve to be poor - you know, core GOP beliefs - and they'll ruin it for them anyway.

Not to say that I think everyone should just rest on their laurels and expect to win against them by doing nothing, au contraire. But with the demographic deathtrap the GOP has cornered themselves in to combined with their ever shiattier looking platform, high population of racists and vitriolic pundit industry they're going to have an extremely steep uphill battle for the foreseeable future. When farking TEXAS is slowly but surely turning purple you know they have a problem.

2014-01-26 11:31:15 AM
They couldn't vote for a Mormon so yeah, they'll naturally vote for brown person.

That's exactly the three nutjobs I picked too.

Dinki: Condi always struck me as an incredibly intelligent woman who let her affection for GWB cloud her judgement.

Also, FFS - one of these things is not at all like the others. While Condi isn't my first choice for anything, she could be put in charge of something important without my waking up in a cold sweat thinking about it.
She is, at least, a vaguely responsible human being of at least slightly above average intelligence.
And those two things alone put her in a different dimension than those other two assholes.

2 out of three of those are black. Clearly, the GOP isn't racist.

Her "mushroom cloud" statement will disqualify Rice from ever holding elected office.

I'd never vote for Ahnold again either - but I wouldn't toss him in the same bucket as those two losers.
