HA! HA!

HIS BALLS ARE HERS NOW!

She should have invoked the right to remain silent.

/Just kidding. That was sweet.
//Good on the cops for being in on this clever-but-cruel idea

I have a great idea -- let's begin our lives together by me scaring the crap out of you.

Anything you say can and will be used against you in divorce court.

That's been done before. Saw it a year or two ago.

The only thing I hate more than wasted municipal resources are guys that think it's cute to do something really stupid while proposing.  To make matters worse, the woman can see in this one moment what the guy is really like, and then they say yes anyway.

Don't the police have better things to do?

We are not amused.

I live in this town.  The last time we made the news, the police chief retired after attempting to extort nudie pics from college girls in exchange for fixing tickets.  So, I guess this is a slight step up from that.

Stunt marriage proposals are imbecilic.  One that involves terrifying your partner, doubly so.  One that involves flashing blue lights, taking up three parking spots and slowing traffic on the main road in town, where the traffic is already at a crawl due to the huge senior citizen driver population is just embarrassing.

Seriously, nearly a third of the New London population is over 65, that stretch of road is posted at 30 mph, but in reality you're lucky to drive 15 or 20 on any given day due to old drivers in cataract glasses, taking left turns through traffic without looking, opening car doors into traffic or heaven forbid, attempting to parallel park.  Then there's my favorite, when they blindly cross the yellow line into oncoming traffic, because they seem to think that hitting you head on is preferable to driving within 3 feet of a parked car.

/rant over, I feel better now.

I fail to see the humor in any kind of "joke" like this. And there is nothing wrong with my sense of humor.

Thinking that could only be safely done in a town too small to have supporting officers (not in on the joke) arrive and promptly tase or shoot the "resisting" emotional female.

Eh. It would have been a better use of police resources to beat down that dummy.

I'd pay good money to see that.

Ditto. This guy strikes me as the type who, in a future fight with his wife, will show her how much he loves her by punching the wall beside her head -- instead of actually punching her in the face.

I remember that one too. It was even more messed up because if I recall correctly the police did it as a felony stop. Had them get out at gun point one at a time, lie on the ground, et cetera.

And then the cop tased both of them

You gotta watch those "Matt"s, they're trouble.

sandbar67: And then the cop tased both of them

Save that for the honeymoon.

Nightsticking colored folk or ticketing jaywalkers?  You really want them roaming around instead of doing something fun for a change?

Here's a man who thinks that interacting with the cops is such an uncommon event that it's special.

Stupid or naive

You have to watch the video of the guy ranting about Justin Bieber, it's just down the page a bit on the right!
