Non-pointy knees?

2014-01-25 02:22:55 PM
She's cute. At least the knees aren't sharp.

/oh, and positive image no to misogyny impossible beauty standards etc.

She is.  That said...

Im not saying she's wrong but honestly she just comes off as insecure.

Cute face + doughy body = much hotter than my right hand.

A non-size zero woman working in modeling? I'd be shocked if she wasn't insecure.

She's not just attractive but darned hot. I don't know that I'm the one to judge what is considered plus size or not, but I WILL say that she has not one thing to be ashamed of where her body is concerned.

2014-01-25 02:27:59 PM
Um yeah she's plus-size. She'll get over it (the name calling, probably not the plus size)...

/ Thick and curvy would also be somewhat appropriate

2014-01-25 02:28:01 PM
She looks absolutely fine. That said, if she wants people to stop constantly telling her to lose weight, she could choose a profession that isn't 100% appearance-driven.

2014-01-25 02:28:08 PM
Her knees are too round. Would not hit.

I'd hardly call her "doughy."  She's more sturdily built than the typical model, but she looks quite fit.

Hey baby, could you put this Wonder Woman out fit on?

2014-01-25 02:29:50 PM
If she is so comfortable with her body, then she needs to stop having pics taken that obscure her body. She's pretty chunky in the cowboy hat beach pic

2014-01-25 02:29:51 PM
Can i give her some extra meat?

2014-01-25 02:30:09 PM
Hey fat women: Those are curves. Rolls are not curves

2014-01-25 02:30:57 PM
She's gorgeous. How is size-12 "plus sized" by any definition?

Also she's 6'2", which is alluringly tall.

2014-01-25 02:31:26 PM
My work filter has that site blocked, pics anyone?

You call that a plus-sized model?

THIS is a plus sized model!

She looks great. Of course she does, she's a professional model! Your average "plus-size" woman looks more like a potato, not an ancient Greek statue.

The problem is that clothes look better hanging off a bag of antlers and ultimately that fact powers the whole industry. These so called plus size models are, to me anyway, way better looking than their skinny counterparts, but their frames don't sell the clothes as well so I can't see why things would change.

We call that Amazonian. I've got a friend with similar proportions; it's like hanging out with Madame Maxine.

Usually when smoking hot and Daily Mail are in a headline, it's a trap.  This time it wasn't.

Why do all the proud plus sized models cover their midsections in pictures?

Hahaha, I actually work on an offshore installation. They block some of the strangest sites and usually there is a little category as to why it is being blocked. One site was blocked due to it being categorized as "Educational".

Daily Fail is listed as "Blocked URL's" so I am guessing that someone at IT specifically blocked it.

/probably another Farker that wanted to ensure that the Daily Fail would get no clicks on his watch.

That's such a silly defense.

Fashion designers make clothing.  Clothing is meant to be  worn.  A fashion designer who can't make clothes that look great on attractive women are simply  bad at their profession.

It's like being a furniture designer whose products aren't meant for sitting on.  Being terrible at your job isn't something to be proud of.

A good fashion designer should be able to take a size 16 model and make her look  fantastic.

2014-01-25 02:43:16 PM
It's height discrimination. She's really tall for a woman, and being the perfect proportions for a 5'6" woman but scaled up to 6'2" makes her plus. Same weight on a 5'6" and you've got a rolly polly. Not everyone can weight 110 pounds.

/6'5" male and I don't fit in most things made to fit the masses.

2014-01-25 02:43:23 PM
I think she is pissed because there are perfect victoria's secret models with specific BMI and bone structure requirements.  The more forgettable 'plus sized' models used by normal women that could time at the gym as aspirational material are not special.

She doesn't fit into the first column but she wants to be more then the second.

2014-01-25 02:43:42 PM
she is plus-sized.  she can be insulted all she wants, but she isn't exactly a small girl.

/maybe not for u.s. sizing

I often wonder, if the fatties get their cake-fueled wishes, and women like this start to appear on the majority of magazine covers, how long will it take for the potato-shaped women to lower the bar yet again and histrionically proclaim that *this* is now an unrealistic standard of beauty?

THIS. Or a car designer that didnt put an engine in it.

She is 6'2''.  That is what makes her plus size, not her weight.  If she was 5'5" (average in Australia) she would be size 2-4 with the same proportions.  I keep seeing people post about her on facebook but nobody ever includes that.  According to the internet she weighs 180 lbs for a BMI of 23.1.  If 5'5" her weight would be ~140

Let me 'splain the fashion industry to the world:

The fashion industry is dominated by bitter old harridans and men who get no sexual pleasure at all from or with women. This explains everything we need to know about what the fashion industry deems to be "feminine"--those who hate their own gender with a passion and those who feel no passion for the gender in question set the norm.

Plus sized? Hate that term. Makes a woman sound like an upgraded McMeal thingy.

Reubeneque? Meh, a bit under-qualified for that designation.

I'd go with voluptuous there but maybe that's just me.

/Angry god, bunk, all that.

Anything over size zero is "plus size" in the present day. Fashion is dominated by people who have no capacity to have any desire for a woman in the first place. Thus, all that matters is she be a walking coat hanger.

2014-01-25 02:47:18 PM
She just sounds whiny.  The industry you are in has terms they use.  Deal with it or change jobs.
