The new Dodge the Law in Minneapolis area is for the panhandlers to hold a sign that just says "Hi, I am a nice guy" or some zhit and people give them money.
At least it was new just before windchill went into imaginary figures.
Guess will have to wait for a better climate change to see if it really does suffice.

This article is bullshait. I've been in precisely the same situation. My mother, brother, and I all inherited the same genetic problem that causes adult-onset kidney failure. They're both dead now, but I still get to deal with it.

The friends who want to donate a kidney who haven't been ruled out due to health issues can do a paired donation with another person who has a compatible blood group (this is what Mrs Clam did for me). The article should have mentioned this.

In addition, the person who needs a kidney can go on the waiting list and wait it out while on dialysis. I did this four four years after my transplant failed. It's not fun, but it's hardly the end of the freakin' universe. Any journalist who writes an article that perpetuates the idea that one needs have to have a kidney NOW NOW NOW or they're going to DIE needs a kick in the ass.

Think of all the taxpayer dollars we're saving by not having a nationwide healthcare program like those socialist countries have.
