hasty ambush: Meanwhile in a health insurance article that will not get green lit:Swedes buy insurance to skip long health queues
MaudlinMutantMollusk: Uh... didn't we used to refer to that as First Aid?
Marshmallow Jones: Well done subby. Its fun to witness people piss their pants when you dare say something about the Most Holy Black Man, His Worshipfulness and Flawless Leader, Barry Obama.
JohnnyC: This article has nothing to do with Obamacare...Just putting that out there so some of your don't get suckered by the subby who apparently can't write a 'funny' headline and instead opted for 'trollish'.Otherwise... an interesting article.
Clemkadidlefark: Why the Stupid Tag, subby? Are you employed by Obama's Derp?
jso2897: Pocket Ninja: Wow. You took a reasonably informative article about something that's actually an excellent idea and managed to construct a headline that's completely unrelated to anything and yet still *feels* like it requires a response. Impressive work, subby.Who are you? And what have you done with Pocket Ninja?
MaudlinMutantMollusk: I was certified in advanced first aid back before paramedics were common. It doesn't seem like a far stretch from what I learned back then, is what I'm saying
hardinparamedic: MaudlinMutantMollusk: Uh... didn't we used to refer to that as First Aid?Wilderness First Aid teaches above and beyond what a typical first aid class does by preparing people to provide care beyond the first few minutes in a wilderness setting. WFA actually teaches you how to set certain fractures and reduce dislocations, about general illnesses and medical problems, and how to administer certain medications beyond tylenol/advil.Wilderness Advanced Life Support is the class geared towards Paramedics, NPs, PAs and Physicians, and is on my bucket list to do - they actually teach field suturing and field surgical skills, among a myriad of other topics.
