Does anyone care to post a link to the real article, to that I don't have to click a Gawker link?

Also, I'm looking forward to the deaths of Joffery, Sansa, Tywin and Daenerys, plus the dead Starks coming back from the grave.

Is there a poes law corollary for GoT? It's impossible to tell the difference between a fake GoT spoiler and a real one.

Hey look - Someone clicks on an article previewing the season that hasn't been aired yet and then looks in the discussion about the season that hasn't been aired yet and is annoyed that they found out some plot points beforehand.

And yes - the statute of limitations on spoilers of GoT ran out about 10 yrs ago.

Yeah, it's Tyrion in the shiatter with a crossbow.

Also the biatch mom Stark comes back as undead, and Joffrey gets poisoned. Oh and suddenly we meet another Targaryen.

And John Snow is the son of Boromir Stark's sister and the old fat drunk king dude from first season. He becomes king.

And I think they are starting to split at last!! Most of the differences between the books and the show really didn't mean much. A change of a name here two very minor book characters combined into one there. Everything basically stayed the same. But the last episode showed the Iron Borns going to same their prince with his sister at the lead?!?

Maybe we get to skip the whole Kings Moot?!? Oh please oh please!!

One aspect of a show with a protracted timeline that's going to be cool is watching the young actors age. Arya, in particular, is in a weird place. I hope she doesn't go down the AJ Soprano road. I guess a lot has to do with writing and the material they end up with.

There's an easy way to tell if someone is making a bogus prediction:  it doesn't involve a side plot line you've never heard of, involving characters you've never met, in an attempt to pad the length of the series.

Seriously, GRRMARTIN, you're already juggling four or five stories at one time, quit adding more.

Except the books are integral to the show.

Talking about what's coming and speculating on how, or even if they'll include it in the show is the norm. Most people who are into shows like this have already read the books.

If you want to have a spoiler free show, maybe, y'know, don't watch the fantasy equivalent of The Titanic and get angry if someone asks "How do you think the boat will look when it sinks?" or "Do you think they'll include the violinists?" They're legitimate show specific questions.

And you are physically incapable of giving a spoiler free version or, gasp!, going SPOILER ALERT before giving away major plot points?  Somehow, I manage to do that despite the heavy burden reading a fantasy series has placed upon my shoulders.

I guess I'm wondering why someone who insists others take the time to read the hundreds upon hundreds of pages in the books thinks taking 5 seconds to type "spoiler alert" at the top of a comment in what is OBVIOUSLY a thread about the show is some cruel burden.

Since they're already borrowing stuff from books 4+5 for this season, I imagine they're going to pare the remaining content in 4+5 down to 1 season and borrow from the Winds of Winter to get things moving.  Unfortunately, I think that also means the show will overrun Martin's slow writing and either have to go on hiatus or finish the story themselves.

I really liked him before that. I liked Jamie the rockstar. Introspective emo Jamie isn't near as much fun.

They could have used what happens to his brother as character growth.
