And the moral of the story is, Due to the couple shiatting their pants at the insane terror, the bear was brutally gunned down by local law enforcement, who then sold the bear parts to the local Chinese wang enlargement pill company. Where their motto is: Trust Wang to make you an enormous Dick.

/Oh, the bear didn't cause them to shiat their pants? Oh well then. Carry on.

Looks like a year or two old 'cub', not a full grown bear to me.  It also looks brown, which makes it a damn good thing it wasn't a full grown bear.  THAT would have me shiatting in my pants.  Black bears are pansies, they don't want no trouble (unless Momma has cubs).  Brown bears, not so much.

Lots of Black bears are brown. Hell, in some areas of the US, black bears are almost always brown. I think the black bear population in Yosemite is like 95% brown coloured. American black bears can also be found in white, cinnamon or a bluish-black tint in reasonably common numbers depending on where you are in N.A.
The bear in the video was an American black bear. American brown bears have a much different body shape.

Huh.  The More You Know(tm)!

Thanks for that.  I always thought the term Brown Bear was synonymous with Grizzly Bear.  All the Black bears I have ever seen were... well, black.

Grizzly is synonymous with the brown bear species (in North America). "Grizzly" is probably used more commonly because calling them "brown bears" gets confusing when black bears are commonly brown coloured.
They are very distinct animals. You might think a red tailed hawk looks like an eagle... until you see an eagle.

Grizzly bears have been extinct in California for a very long time. And I'm glad for it.

Because he ran. Seriously. If you have a wild animal's attention, you  don't make sudden movements. Baby bear like that will lose interest fairly quickly.

If you're being chased by a bear, and want to know if it's a black bear or a grizzly, climb a tree. If it climbs up after you, it's a black bear. If it knocks the tree over, it's a grizzly.
