Animated property defacement. It'd be great if he put his obvious talent to some useful purpose.

Absolute defacement of property.  Talk about decreasing property values.  Noone in the entire history of man has ever been able to deliver an artistic message by coloring a building.  (Most idiots cant hack even light artistry.  Noone got everything living obtusely.)  You'd be better off spending your time out looking for a real job, but no, you'd rather be a common vandal.

1) Isn't that a labor-intensive way to make a GIF?  I'd think Photoshop would yield the same result.
2) The Photoshop method would use a lot less paint, which is more eco-friendly, if you care about such things.
3) If I was an artist of any sort, I would not use my name in EVERY piece of "art" I created.

So he should go into advertising then? Then he can legally deface property.

I'm surprised this wasn't a Featured Partner.

Yeah, I was going to say that you could get the exact same results with about a tenth the time and cost using photoshop.

Are there murals that aren't hand painted? Like, robot painted?

I watched the video at the bottom (with audio turned off).  From that, I didn't see much indication that he actually erases the whole thing and redraws it for the sake of animating it.  Considering nothing changes but the colors, I think he DOES use Photoshop, once it's done.

I've done this before.
It was actually one of my first projects to help me learn how to GIMP.
The drawing is all freehand colored pencils, 24''x24''

Farking taggers.....

Here is another. I made it for my best friend's little sister as a get-well gift when she was very sick. I drew the little dudes and them used Gimp to make them march around the screen. It was an active desktop for her. The characters are out of her favorite anime.

I call it Visual Territorial Pissing, 95% of graffiti fits that dscription, 5% is interesting and has a message other than "I visually pissed on your stuff to mark my territory".  I'd put this guys art in the VTP category since mostly it just has INSA as a focal point.  There is allot of VTP on most comment boards too.

Or you could just use Photoshop...
