Just revoke his O-1 visa, and problem solved.  There's nothing "extraordinary" about this little menace.

Bieber resides in the U.S. on an O-1 visa, which is for "individuals with an extraordinary ability in the arts or extraordinary achievement in motion picture or television industry."

OK, so arrest him for visa fraud. Just send him back to his home and native land and forbid him reentry to the US for at least 10 years. America does not need people mistakenly thinking Justin Bieber is American, just like Australia doesn't need people mistakenly believing Russell Crowe is Australian (he's from New Zealand; I was shocked too).

We ain't taking Cruz back either.

I would think DUI (on a mix of intoxicants), illegal drug use, drag racing, and resisting arrest could easily land him in the pokey for more than a year, if prosecuted without regard to his celebrity or financial status.

That's a mighty big 'if' when it comes to celebrities though. They have a different set of laws

Well, hope he's happy with his cell mate, Shanking Willy. He's in on charges of Shanking, Premeditated Shanking, Aggravated Shanking, and Conspiracy to Commit Shanking.

FTA:

"Bieber resides in the U.S. on an O-1 visa, which is reserved for "individuals with an extraordinary ability in the arts or extraordinary achievement in motion picture or television industry." "

So, the 1% get preferential treatment again?

The vast majority of people don't get a year for DUI, small amounts of drug possession, or resisting arrest.  Those are all misdemeanors that get most people a couple months for their first offense.  Drag racing generally won't even get you any jail time.

The Obama administration has said it is trying to better utilize government resources with prosecutorial discretion, to focus deportations on those here illegally who have been charged with crimes.

Really....nobody yet?

Fine....

THANKS OBAMA!

I know it's not a big deal, but can we stop calling it drag racing? Drag racing is at a drag strip. The little shiat was street racing.

To be fair, I'd rather have the DOJ focused on booting transnational gang bangers than douchebag Canadians.

Well I hope the next time he gets drunk behind the wheel and maybe kills a person they can say "But he has an O-1 visa" I would be more apt to let him stay if he was a genius inventor or someone that cured cancer or aids. But I am sure we can replace a singer pretty easy.

TFA doesn't answer the most important question: when does the Biebs' visa expire?  When's the earliest we could return him to sender?
