No, it's just complete lack of taste and class.

What's creepy is when parents are figuring out what beers and wines go with different Girl Scouts.

Or Brownies.

Creepy? No not really, pointless and dumb, yes.

And you really shouldn't be drinking beer with cookies anyway, too much sugar. I guess you could do a dessert wine...

no beer or wine goes with a girl scout cookie.

As long as you balance it out with some protein, shouldn't be a problem.

Do-si-dos may pair well with a Gewurztraminer, but you'd be wasting a perfectly good bottle of wine finding out.

Is THC infused wine a thing already? That was quick.

That stuff was shiat. Red Ripple! When I was in the Army, it was a bottle a day, every day.  OK, at the end, I did class up my act, and began drinking Italian Swiss Colony Chianti.  If I remember correctly, when I got out, I didn't drink any booze for 2 or 3 months, to give the liver a rest.

Got dang, son! Warn a man before you post a pic like that. The rush of blood left me so light headed I nearly fell out of my office chair!

Do you think they paid promotional consideration to Arrested Development for being portrayed as the preferred beverage of statutory rapists?

Are we going to combine this with yesterday's sex dungeon thread, Vlad?  Is that what's going to happen?

Damned beer and wine snobs -- don't they know there is no bad beer or wine to drink whilst consuming Girl Scout ... er cookies?

Keep your sweets away from my beer.  That means you, wife-or-girlfriend-at-the-football-party. "I brought cupcakes - try one!"

Why is it creepy? Who cares?

Are we prude about sex AND alcohol in this country?

I had a friend who insisted that having shortbread cookies with lagers was amazing. I totally did not get it, and I'm glad to see I am not the only one. Maybe sugar has less of an effect on some people's palates?

I'm guessing cookies might go ok with a riesling or an especially sweet sherry... Probably even better with Irish coffee or something like that. Beyond that, I don't know. Whatever fills your Twinkie, I guess.

Boycotting the cookie sales this year in light of last week's headline concerning GSUSA campgrounds being sold off.

/Fark you, Madam CEO, I'm not buying overpriced cookies to pad your pension

I can't believe they're tackling that question when they haven't yet determined what wine goes best with Cap'n Crunch.

/they should just smoke a bong of froot loops and go back to bed

In defense of Girl Scouts selling camps -- they wouldn't NEED to sell camps if the Troops were using them like they used to. Too many Leaders now aren't "camp" Leaders and their idea of "camp" is Holiday Inn with a pool and hot tub.

Also, these decisions are made on a Council by Council basis, not by GSUSA - so while blaming Ana for some things (aka the exodus of staff), you cannot necessarily put the full blame on her. In addition (and not something I'm thrilled about) is like many land owners, GS has discovered the value of their property and are selling gas / well rights and investing that money in renovating the Camps that are used as well as expanding other programming to girls.

:: shrugs :: I have been associated with Girl Scouts for over 30 years as a member and as a Leader / Volunteer / Trainer and while there are a few vocal ones, in my Council, if you don't have campers, why do you need camps?

You know, pairing Girl Scout cookies with Raging biatch beer seems somehow appropriate.

2014-01-25 01:40:45 PM
And why did the filter change it to "biatch"?

Even reverse cowgirls get the blues: And why did the filter change it to "biatch"?

I know, it's kind of shiatty
