Ha ha, charade he was.

2014-01-24 12:08:35 AM
He entered the hospital complaining he was shorter of breath, and one day closer to death.

2014-01-24 12:36:51 AM
He again left the day after he received treatment against medical advice.

He was, however, comfortably numb

2014-01-24 12:41:11 AM
It must have been the brain damage that gave it away.

2014-01-24 12:45:21 AM
I wonder if he tried to fake an accent, too?

2014-01-24 12:46:24 AM
Better off giving a fake name and just skating out after treatment, what a dumbfark...

When he was found out, he should have said "Well, I'm a hockey player."

Mralterego: Better off giving a fake name and just skating out after treatment, what a dumbfark...

I tried that once, figured that picking a typical European first and last name pretty much at random would hide me from the bill collectors.

Didn't work out so well. Did you know that there already is a Josef Stalin? Apparently he was this Russian dictator who slaughtered all these people.

2014-01-24 01:00:26 AM
As he slipped out of the hospital, you could hear on the gentle breeze... I GOT MINE!!!!

2014-01-24 01:13:26 AM
According to the article; this guy skipped out on something like $170,000 total in hospital bills. Me thinks he's probably not good for it.

Also, how does one rack up $170,000 in medical bills? Did he get a black market liver, or something?

2014-01-24 01:13:58 AM
Yes, best to pose as a multimillionaire to avoid having to pay bills.

Forgive me for sounding like a Canadian but; how does one go about racking up $24,000 in medical bills overnight on 3 separate occasions?

My two hour injections if I didn't have insurance according to the hospital cost 13 grand.  And I have to do that every 10 weeks

Duh, neither Alex Lifeson nor David Gilmour are U.S. citizens, so they don't qualify for Obamacare.

Ouch!!!  You don't specify what the injections are, but judging by the price I'm guessing it's a mixture of gold, diamond dust and plutonium.

A little bit like prosecuting someone for stealing bread for his family to eat. Unless it was cosmetic surgery.

By quoting the uninsured price, which no one ever pays.  It's a bit like cop math where people get caught with a quarter million $ in drugs in their jeans pocket.   So either you have insurance or you just don't pay the bill, which is quite common here.  Which is why it is now becoming a tax penalty to not have insurance.

Resident Aliens (which these guys are not and never will be) are eligible for Exchange plans and the subsidies.

Furthermore,  and this is the cool part, low income resident aliens living in states that have not expanded Medicare are eligible for greater benefits than US Citizens with similar incomes.

I always go into a hospital without ID. I tell them I am from Sparks NV and give them the address to John Ascuaga's Nugget Casino as my home address... Or a comic book shop in Los Angeles.

Thank you taxpayers for paying my bills for me.

Fake Floyd's health insurance provider is the same company that insured against zeppelin attacks during WWI and insured comedian Ben Turpin's eyes against uncrossing.

Obviously the real question here is what's the deductible for a dirigible attack.
