Posting a pic of yourself with troll hair eating beans and hotdogs opens you up to all sorts of sorry characters.

And she certainly opened herself up to one of the sorriest, and that sweet, sweet Spinach Gunk lady.

That sweet and amusing banter (in between sweet and amusing cat pics and adventures) is a big part of what makes the Caturday threads so endearing.

Likin' it. ;)

John Buck 41: iBette: brantgoose: When I was a child there was a band named Three Dog Night. It apparently got its name from a New Yorker Cartoon about a hostess showing a guest a room and saying that it was going to be a cold night so she put an extra dog on the bed. Or perhaps it came more directly from the idea that natives measured the cold by how many dogs you need to keep warm.

This obviously works with cats also.

Cat are superior to dogs in many ways, but it takes a lot more cats to cover a Queen-sized bed.

Cats: Better taste. Less filling.

Dogs: We have you covered.

I remember Three Dog Night, and the story of how they were named.  We used to sit on the school steps at 7th grade recess, spinning old 45's on the portable.  Had more of TDN than others.  Still rock out to them on a regular basis, MP3-style now. :)

Gads, I'm old.

Given your remark about 7th grade (and TDN being big at the time), I'm betting we are within a couple years of each other.

57 in June.

Low 50s.  According to the math, and thermometer, that makes you balmier. :)

tigerose: Invisible Oranges: Hai guyz. It's been a couple weeks since I've checked in. Mainly been in lurk mode. BF was offered a job the same week he put his resume online. His skillset is in demand (software engineer), but still. Here be he + Riku-cat. I think he was laughing at something he was listening to. Kanye West, maybe. *shrug*

We're big fans of metal here, but have recently been listening and getting into this electronic genre called witch house. Can be dreamy and/or creepy, depending on the song or artist.

Handsome kitteh. BF ain't hard to look at either. Glad he will be gainfully employed..meanwhile..how ya doin? Nice to see you.

I gave him the compliment and he blushed! He's definitely a keeper. He started working last Friday and loves it thus far.

I'm doing ok. Feeling a bit isolated from people lately, but I need to make an effort to hang out with my friends. Been too much of a hermit for the past year and I kind of need to learn how to socialize again.

I've been hired for an as-needed, subbing librarian job. Heading to HR on Monday for paperwork and training. Hoping to find another position to pair with it. Looking forward to the day when I land something full-time that offers benefits.

Riku loves that I'm home much of the day and I spoil him like mad. Sometimes I turn the electric blanket on for him despite it not being cold.

Lilyspad, that's a great picture of you in the Seahawks troll hat. I'm not a huge fan of football, but the whole Washington + Colorado Superbowl/legalization meme is pretty amusing.

Also tigerose, happy end of probation period! *happy dance*

AHHH! I meant to pick some up too. BF is obsessed with anything spicy. Cayenne, Tabasco, jalapenos. You name it, he eats it. *makes note to look for some*

Should also go back and save that recipe for veggie pancakes. I hate like 50% of veggies. Need to find creative ways to add them to meals. o.o

Further research has revealed that haggii have evolved shorter legs on one side so they can run along mountainsides at great speeds, thus eluding all but the wiliest hunters.  Whether left or right legs are shorter depends, of course, on which side of the mountain a particular haggis is born.

Fun Razor: lilyspad: Fun Razor: I love my cat. I really do.She does a really good job of keeping the house varmint free. However, I wish she would 1) Stop playing with her food and 2) stop bringing me live foods to play with. I mean I really appreciate the thought and all. And it's very sweet. I also really wish she would rethink her plan to bring her live foods to me while I am sleeping in my bed. I really appreciate the gesture but mouse with cat spit sauce is not on my menu of favorite snacks. She thinks it makes the perfect midnite treat, especially since I didn't even have to get out of bed to enjoy play-kill-eat time.  She then let it escape so she could hunt it all nite. In the bedroom. Of course. Because she wanted me to share in the fun. She is one thoughtful cat. She finally killed it about an hour ago and is now tenderizing it. Her method of tenderization is throwing the thing all over hell and gone. She is currently bouncing it off the ceiling and batting it like an All Star big leaguer. The look of pride on her face when it landed on my keyboard was priceless. It brought a tear to my eye (mostly because I was screaming like a little girl but that's beside the point).  Like I said, I really love my cat.

PS She is really mad at me now because I took it away from her.  I'm sorry, I really can't like the sound of crunching mouse bones. Nor do I like playing mouse head ping pong or squish the carcass with your toes.

Hahahaha!!!!!!  I'm so sorry, but I laughed so hard at that!!

Don't be sorry, I'm laughing, too...now.

I would post a picture of what a mouse hunting cat might look like but I am unable to figure it out at teh present time. I have the basics but as a professional grade tech-tard it will take a bit before I figure out how to make them smaller than my ass head.

I put it on my eggs and add it to leftover mac and cheese when re-heating;  it really makes any meal better, especially leftovers.  I've never mixed it with mayo but that sounds great so I'll do that tomorrow when I make a chicken sandwich for lunch.

Haggii, therefore, are directional by nature.. they can only run in one direction, and cannot reverse course.. they can do very tight turns at high speed, though....  they are classified as righties or lefties....
