"Cybernetic Muttonchops" would be a great name for an Isaac Asimov tribute band.

I always thought that one of the best consumer uses of nano-technology would be hairstyling.

You'd have about 1000 little nano-robots scuttling around your scalp.  They are programmed with your hairstyle, and spend every day climbing your hairs, clipping a millimeter or less off the ends, curling as they go, etc.  You'd have some micro-GPS things implanted in your scalp so they always knew their coordinates, and once you got your hair the way you want it, it would always stay that way.  Since the robots form a smart swarm, if a couple go inactive or get washed away in the shower, the others would fill in.

If you want a new hairstyle you just download a program and transmit it by RF.  Then over 2 weeks your hair morphs gradually into the new style.

I would like to have a beard that I can  puff out when I got mad.
That sort of techno voodoo just might help me break new ground in the alpha male scene.
