I think it is a title, like "The President" or "The Prime Minister".  There may be many Stigs, but the current Stig will always be "The Stig".

Some say that even when he's multiple people he still maintains a singular persona, and that even if he's female that he continues to use the male pronoun.... all we know is that he's called the Stig.

I really didn't expect much out of that... Then I reminded myself how fun the British Top Gear really is, and I decided to give it a go. That was awesome as hell...

I really wish the Street View was a one-off of the track, and followed the video, but for a large portion there, the Stig's car was pacing the Google car. It would have been awesome to have it play out just like in the video, but it's still cool...

Thanks for the heads up, I will check them out.

Yeah, better would have been to put the camera equipment on a faster supercar, i'm sure the camera technicians could make it record snaps faster so it still kept a similar pace when you're looking around on street view, and had a genuine race go on whilst recording.

Even if the Google car got totally dusted, like in the video, the Street View would be totally cool with the burnouts, the drifts, and the Stig continually lapping it, then disappearing in the distance.

They're all pretty great, except the India one, that just felt like they were running through their repertoire of schtick and same ol' jokes. I just wish they'd do more episodes of challenges, big challenges.

Have you seen The Worlds Most Dangerous Roads? It's a BBC series where each episode is two British comedians driving a particular dangerous road somewhere in the world. It's like the Top Gear challenge but it's done more seriously and without the over the top cocking about, more like a proper documentary. Very interesting.
Mountain road in China.
Peruvian Andes
Alaska whiteout.

The problem with this segment is they didn't give the Street View car to their tame racing driver, to see how fast it goes round their track.  And if it can stay upright around Gambon.

I had heard about the Street View of the TG track, but that video was cool. And so is The Stig ride along.

And for those who haven't heard, Super Bowl Sunday is also the 1st Top Gear episode of the year.

Ah, yes. Well the premise of the show is that it is a motoring show that primarily focus on sports/luxury cars and frequently do things such as challenges that the whole premise comes down to "Okay what was the point of that?"

It is very amusing and entertaining. Doubly so if you find British humor funny. In addition it is generally well filmed and edited.

I would suggest if you have Netflix, giving a few episodes a try. Some of the older series can be slow at times, but as others have said in this thread, there are absolutely episodes of pure genius.

Are these the guys that painted cars with all kinds of Gay pride stuff and drove through some backwater towns down south? I think that was a pretty long time ago so maybe not. And I only saw clips online.

I still have no idea why the Senna segment is missing from the Netflix version of Se. 15, Ep. 05, it's one of the best films they've ever done.  Were there footage and music clearance issues?
