I think that One Tree Hill show just ended last year after a 72 year run.  For those of you who missed it, only this was worth noting:  A fat kid shot up a high school and the main antagonist killed his own brother in the same episode.  Everyone else went from high school and skipped college into their careers.  The main antagonist needed a heart transplant and a dog ate it.  There was no nudity and they all seemed to like basketball.
Even worse?  That god awful Supernatural show is still on TV.

/I'm glad the nine year old kid who fell is OK

My wife used to watch that idiotic show. It was one of the most stupidly pretentious things I've ever seen on TV, I hated every single character and every year it came back I was greatly disappointed to find it hadn't been cancelled.

I don't know what it was, but there was something about that show that I physically recoiled from. I hope all the writers are struck deaf and dumb and have to live as hobos for the rest of their lives and if I were religious I'd thank god that none of the imbeciles that acted on it managed to turn that steaming pile of overwrought shiat into a workable career. I have never had such a powerfully repulsive reaction to any other TV show or movie, it was just that goddamn stupid.

/ great... now my blood pressure is so high blood is spurting from my eyebrows...
// what's this about some kid falling in a ditch now?

it was a very deep hole.  I think the kid's name was Buck Rogers.

That's exactly why I know what happened on that show - I hated it but it didn't create as much anger; I saved that for Gray's Anatomy.  For a few reasons, and I count about 6, the only show I liked that she watched or still watches was Charmed.

I guess I'm to young (or stupid) to know what One Tree Hill is.

Uhm, two shows were discussed in the post to which you Replied. Which "idiotic show ... most stupidly pretentious thing[s] [you]'ve ever seen on TV" have you "never had such a powerfully repulsive reaction" to as it?

Meh. Either or. Take your pick. I never saw Supernatural, though.

Nana's Vibrator: Gray's Anatomy

I get a kick out of that show's premise, at least. The increasingly improbable catastrophes that continue to befall those characters are absolutely hilarious. Like they're all marked by some ancient god for comically outlandish tragedy.

I just watched it for the chicks. Mostly Sophia Bush. She was my uber-celeb crush before Alison Brie.

A guy here died when he was skiing and fell into a "tree well." Clearly things related to trees are very dangerous. We should cut them all down.

Reminds me of a post some years ago after Congressman and former entertainer Sonny Bono had been killed by crashing into a tree trunk on a ski run, a week after Michael Kennedy had died the same way.
This was just a warning. We are not bluffing. We will kill one celebrity each week until our demands are met, which are simple: stop the logging!

― The Trees.

/Another post from around that time said something to the effect of: "We bid a sad but fond farewell to great entertainer and statesman Sonny Bono. Okay, maybe he wasn't exactly a statesman, let alone a great one, and he wasn't all that great of an entertainer. But hey, he did do a killer impersonation of Michael Kennedy!

Yeah, I know, it's been years since anyone read this but everything else had been posted already.
