Did anyone else ever paint their cock green, chain the Slave Leia figure to their cock, and play Jabba and Slave Leia from Return of the Jedi?

Yeah, me neither.

My action figures didn't bend at the elbows or knees.  And that's the way it was, and we liked it.

I don't know what euphemism subby was going for there and I'm pretty sure I don't want to know.

No, but I did use a 12 inch Darth Vader to rape 12 inch Wonder Women.

So my 5-years-old self is unimpressed with the linked diorama, the Cantina doesn't even have space for the band!

As someone who really likes Star Wars I am sick and f*cking tired of Star Wars

That's pretty cool. I'm a toy collector(TMNT, Transformers, Micro cars), so playsets are a big draw for me when displaying items, so I like things like this. Not a big SW collector though, the only items I have are some Micro Machines(Used to collect the Star Wars Transformers for a while, but purged them out a couple years ago).

Still, though, if this were something commercially available and not ridiculously expensive, it could almost lure me into collecting SW figures.

Look for the dioramas made by user Daigo-Bah. Absolutely incredible.

When I was 9 I built a proportionate Millennium Falcon to the action figures because I didn't like the one Kenner sold as a play-set.It took me a few months and I used pictures of the actual footage as reference. Problem was I used the materials I had at hand, which was cardboard, bottles, office supplies and paste. It fell apart after a few years, but it was great.

Mine are still in their original packaging.  Only a fool would take them out of it.

I don't think those were for sale when I was a kid, but I did play a bunch with a friends GI Joes which were the same size for a reason,  I forget which side copied who in terms of size, but this was so you could have crossover battles.  Now all toys come in different sizes so you can't have an on scale battle.  That always bugged me.

Star Wars figures were the first 3 3/4 inch figures.  After Mego told Lucas to go stuff himself, "we have star trek and planet of the apes, what do we need this crap for?", he went to Kenner.  Not sure why the decided on the smaller size.  Probably just to keep Mego from rebranding their accessories.

I had one of those too.
And the Cantina, that came with four free figures. My Mom snatched it from under the nose of a woman who was trying to decide if she wanted to buy it.

Calling bs on that.  The set you're referring to was only available through the Sears catalog.

Calling BS on this too.  There were definitely 3 3/4" figures before Star Wars.

Lived in the UK. They were available over there ... it wasn't the blue Snaggletooth that came in the Sears one, but the red regular one.
If you notice, the Death Star in the picture was the Palitoy release, not the Kenner.

Do a Google search for "Palitoy Cantina."
