One good thing about the offspring of rock stars is generally they don't use nepotism in such an overt way as other industries.

So they have one thing in common?

2014-01-22 11:55:33 PM
Well, now I feel old.

Why not just Fire?

Great. Now, he's going to read all his son's daily paperwork and come up with an album that makes Nebraska seem like a feel-good record.

This is Great!  Now he can put food on the family table instead of working some minimum wage job flipping burgers while waiting for a spot to open up.  I love America.  Equal opportunity for all.

Good for him. Isn't Evan going to be a journalist, which is less practical these days?

God that song is creepy.

I swear, officer, I wasn't "soliciting a child for sexual purposes", I was just singing an old Bruce Springsteen song.

May your strength give us strength
May your faith give us faith
May your hope give us hope
May your love give us love

/why not quote Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce songs about ACTUAL firemen?

You know, growin up, me and my old man didn't get along.  Every night he would come into my room and say "When you going to grow your hair long, learn how to play a gotdamn guitar and join a rock n roll band?".  But what he didn't understand is that I wanted something different than he did.......

You know, when I was growin up, a lot of guys my age were going into the fire fighter academy.  And a lot of them didn't come back.  And those that did ... well ... they weren't quite the same.

Was his first call a MVA involving a pink cadillac on thunder road? Or extracting an amusement park visitor from the tunnel of love?

Can't see nothin' in front of me
Can't see nothin' coming up behind
I make my way through this darkness
I can't feel nothing but this chain that binds me
Lost track of how far I've gone
How far I've gone, how high I've climbed
On my back's a sixty pound stone
On my shoulder a half mile line

"So, my folks are here tonight...yeah, right over there. You know, one of you wanted a doctor, and one of you wanted a lawyer. Well, tonight, you're just going to have to settle for responding to a 911 call by an old woman who ate an unripe banana." *crowd roars* *Big Man solos*

Seeing these Springsteen lyrics makes me want to load my Boss playlist.

Glad to see somebody mention Dweezil.  He is cashing on Daddy, but he has one helluva touring band.

Hey little girl is your daddy home? Did he go and leave the iron on, mmm hmmmm....

How cool is it that someone who probably doesn't need to work a day in his life signed up for a dangerous job like this one?

you know what?  That song's just creepy.  Springsteen was a creep.
And he used a glockenspiel in his music.  Who does that?  Him and marching bands.  He's not the boss.  He's a dork.
