Y'see, the kids, they listen to the rap music, which gives them the brain damage. With their hippin' and their hoppin', and their bippin', and their boppin'... so they don't know what the jazz is all about! You see, Jazz is like a Jello Pudding- no! Actually, it's more like Kodak film - no! Actually, jazz is like the new Coke; it'll be around forever! Heh heh heh...

Is this "Mother, Jugs and Speed" Cosby, or is this "The Cosby Show" Cosby. Please let it be the former and not the later.

The first line on the first episode will be

"I'm supposed to drive you to the store!"

/Has the man run out of money or has his doctor/agent told him he needs to work if he wants to stay alive
/a doctor/agent would be a real money maker. 15% of your check; 15% of your internal organs.

Early Cosby Show stuff was great and still holds up today. The show started to go downhill with the annoying Olivia and was unwatchable by season 7 with cousin Pam. Few shows have fallen so far.

will this be more 'Cosby' or 'The Cosby Show' or 'The Bill Cosby Show' or 'The Cosby Mysteries'? 'Cosby' was by far the best, and was loosely based on the British show 'One Foot In The Grave'. if the new show is based on 'Waiting for God' and has Phylicia Rashad it might be the best Cosby ever. too bad Madeline Kahn died, but i strongly support bringing back Doug E Doug.

If I was guessing, he'll probably wake up every episode with Phylicia Rashad.

It would appear his sitcom persona mates for life.

/And yes, NBC is not only out of ideas, but they're out of them twice.

I hope the whole family does a big dance number from time to time with the cute little girl mugging for the camera. Everyone loves that.

While their at it,...

They should do a Different Strokes revival...

Combine it with a reality game show where Todd Bridges sits alone in the apartment as the last Survivor...

Waiting for Jeff Probst to come tell him he's won.

Cosby's recent Comedy Central special was long and boring. There were a few small laughs, but coupled with a bunch of long, plodding stories, it was hard to watch.

Utter brilliance.

It's on NBC though.  It'll stink.  But could you imagine a remake of Waiting for God starring Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad on Netflix or HBO?  That would be amazing.

White people loved the Cosby Show and most of them are still racist as hell.

What's the point.

Neither. It's going to be cranky, unfunny old "I only stay married to my wife so she doesn't take half of everything" Cosby like we saw on that Comedy Central special.

That was relative with Alzheimer's, please-stop-I-don't-want-to-remember-you-this-way levels of sad.

Apparently submitter and a lot of people here don't realize that Bill Cosby has written several parenting books and was the parenting guide of the 1980's.

Never saw 5 seconds of the original one, won't see any more of this one.

Nothing funny or interesting about him.

Shouldn't it be about great-grandparenting? He can't have been raising his kids since the 60's?

Those would be the "milennials" that everybody blames for not wanting to jump in, be an obedient cog in the machine, and work themselves to death at 45 for no money. Right?

It's a pretty small % of the country that dies by 45.

Either people are much lazier than you think, or you're drama queening it.
