"Now all we need to do is have the D-Backs beat the crap out of the Dodgers every time we play them," McCain said. "I will never forget them jumping in that swimming pool. I'm telling you, I don't hold a grudge against old political opponents, but I hold a grudge for the Dodgers jumping into that swimming pool."

Well, build a baseball stadium, instead of an amusement park, and other teams will treat it with respect.

Seriously McCain, the Dodgers are an original team. Your shiatty expansion team needed to put a Friday's INSIDE THE BALLPARK to get people to attend.

I've got no love for the D-Backs, and that pool is pretty silly, but the Dodgers are kind of a bunch of douchebags for that one. And let's be real - Dodger Stadium in Chavez Ravine is a dump. It's almost as bad as Fenway, if that is even possible.

No. No it's not.

Look, I love Fenway. I've been a Sox fan since birth, and most of my life they've sucked. But Fenway park- for all it's magic and quirks and the memories I have, is a farking dump.

There aren't enough seats, and what seats it does have are cramped, filthy and facing the wrong direction.

The "new" owners have made tremendous strides- the food is better, the bathrooms are cleaner and they've stuck seats everywhere they possibly can, but the tickets are still extremely expensive, because there are less than 40,000 of them.

Oh, dear. I was just trying to get a rise out of you and it worked. I think Fenway is an awesome historical landmark in baseball, but it might be time to put it out to pasture. Like Wrigley. Unlike the Braves, who have thrown a hissy fit and are moving to Cobb County. I get the reasoning because there is not a damn thing to do anywhere near Turner Field before or after the game and the public transportation access is virtually non-existent, but the stadium itself is really nice.

Yeah, I knew you were trolling. But see, I've been going to Fenway before it was cool (it was really obscure, you wouldn't know it), and I can tell you that it has always been a dump- it's just a lovable dump.

We used public transit when were were there.

The team wants a MARTA station closer to the stadium. I can't remember which line, because I always drive and park at the stadium. The city has said no, repeatedly. The team wants to develop some property nearby for residential and commercial development and the city is also denying that and there is a standoff over taxes. Meanwhile, the Falcons are getting a new stadium that looks like it is in honor of goatse, so the whole situation has gone really, really sour.

I take a backseat to nobody in my hatred of the Dodgers, but I certainly don't view Dodger Stadium as a dump.  Yes, it has a couple of big negatives--first, that there tends to be Dodger fans in attendance (at least between the 3rd and 7th innings, anyway), and second, that traffic in and out of the place is kind of a nightmare, but otherwise I think it's quite an enjoyable place to watch a ballgame.  What is it that you think is so bad about the place?

And yeah, while Fenway is technically a dump, it's at least an enjoyable dump.

Men today have learned the lesson the hard way that if you act like kind of an old-fashioned guy's guy, you're in constant danger of slipping out and saying something that's going to get you in trouble and make you look like a sexist or make you look like you seem thuggish or whatever.

True.  I'm certainly no fan of Sherman, but even his unhinged post-game 'roid-rage-like rant the other day came off like the Gettysburg address compared to delusional shiat like this coming out of McCain's piehole.

Well, you've got to admit that it's pretty outrageous that a man who is paid millions to beat up guys because they have a pointed leather ball would display a vulgar and churlish aspect in public. I expect such men to conduct themselves like Harvard Dons.

Richard Sherman is smart, articulate, funny, passionate, and one of the very best - if not the best - cornerbacks in the league. John McCain is a senile old coot who yells at clouds and occasionally has something stupid to say about the many, many things he's incapable of understanding (like, for instance, what to look for in a vice presidential candidate). I guess what I'm saying is that I'm having a hard time deciding who to trust here.

The NFL can take its Super Bowl--along with its greedy owners, thug players, drunken barbaric fans, legalized gambling and other attractive aspects of football--and shove it up its ass.

I turned the tv off while watching NaVorro Bowman scream in agonizing pain while players piled on top of him, ignoring his shouts of pain and the numerous official whistles ending the play. I hope I'm never so bored as to watch another minute of barbarism like that ever again.

I'm so glad I turned off the tv before that set of overgrown testicles in a helmet decided to spew his shiat over the airwaves.

Buh-bye NFL. I'll go back to watching soccer players taking dives before I watch your violent shiat again.

jso2897: vulgar

What did Sherman say that was vulgar?  He used no profanity and, as a good communication major should, looked directly into the camera while delivering his rant.

And then, delivers a lucid and contrite apology the next day.  Something that McCain has never done....

Yeah, because the whole game consisted of a one player writing in excrutiating pain while other players kicked him and rolled over him. Each. And. Every. Play.

Don't worry. You'll always have cable to watch those close-ups on. And hear pain in 5.1 or better.

You said that you stopped watching after that play. That play happened late in the fourth quarter. That means, either you watched the whole game before you turned off the TV or you were lying like shiat and you had no idea WHEN the play happened. I'm starting to think its the latter.

One of the funniest things I ever saw on television was Hank Hill complaining about the dip at his last Super Bowl party being too thick: "Those chips were snapping like Joe Theisman's birdy leg." Not that the injury was funny - it wasn't; it was horrifying - but still.

Swear it's not a troll. I sat through most of the game and enjoyed most of it. I'm sitting there just finishing a sandwich and watching several 300 pound men trying to score a touchdown with a dead ball while they ignore countless whistles and kick and push each other onto a screaming guy whom I'm pretty sure I could have heard live if I opened the front door.

I'm done. What pisses me off the most is I sat through decades of Bidwell ball, including benching a top draft QB for comments he made about his coach, owners who wouldn't pay for a weight room for their players, etc.

So I finally get to watch two top teams in the NFL play each other on broadcast (won't pay for cable) and I get to watch the Bowman incident. It's not his injury that bothered me. It's what continued on afterwards.

Done and done. I won't miss the farking commercials either.
