The plows got stuck in traffic.  DEBLASIOOOOOO!!!

Bloody William: QUICK! FIND ANYTHING TO SET UP A FALSE EQUIVALENCE WITH CHRIS CHRISTIE!

How long before right-wing sites, pundits, and other assimilated Borg-like entities use the term "PLOW-GHAZI!"?

2014-01-22 01:46:11 PM
Bullshiat. But if it were true I wouldn't care. Bloomberg would send back-to-back caravans of plows through the UES before ever sending even one to my neighborhood.  That was SOP for the Bloomberg administration.

Time for some snow problems in the Upper East Side.

Barry Deblasio doesn't care about snow people.

Oh for goodness sakes, it hadn't even stopped snowing yet.

What nonsense. My neighborhood in Brooklyn wasn't plowed until late afternoon yesterday. He must hate me and my middle class brethren of Clinton Hill Brooklyn.

UES residents reportedly perturbed that their rooftop helicopter pilots were not able to look at unplowed streets.

2014-01-22 01:51:09 PM
No doubt that the libs will all be along shortly to dismiss PLOWGHAZIGATETRINA as some innocent bureaucratic cockup, or they'll blame it on traffic and the fact that the downtrodden 1%-ers have no choice but to double park their BMW's on those streets due to DiBlasio's failure to provide adequate parking or some other bullshiat excuse, but the fact remains that those affected are going to have to resort to EXTREME measures to deal with this calamity, such as taking the subway today.

"He is trying to get us back. He is very divisive and political," writer Molly Jong-Fast told the paper. Another resident called De Blasio "crazy" and declared, "We need Mayor Bloomberg back!"

"One of the problems was that the salt spreader in that area, the GPS system was not working," Doherty said, according to CBS New York. A likely story. Somebody call Bloomberg and tell him we've learned our lesson.

God, rich people are really whiny.

OMG, they haven't plowed by neighborhood in 4 hours during the height of the storm!

*jerkingmotion*

I live in a middle class area in queens and we too weren't plowed until very late in the early hours of the morning, and they had plows raised so we really weren't plowed until about 11 this morning. The last snow storm they didn't reach us until 24 hours after it was over. In my whole life here this has never happened we always had good plow service. One of the local NYC media outlets went over the areas like mine and the Upper East Side and parts of Brooklyn that were neglected by the  plows and guess what, each of these areas voted for Lhota and not DeBlasio. This is political retribution by a jackass in power.

It's not just the weather (and I live in New York).  It's sports.  It's everything.  Everything gets minute attention from about a billion people.

Probably because the northeast megalopolis holds almost 20% of all Americans, the east coast holds over a third, and the most populated parts of the rest of the United States are in the west or south where snow storms are rare. So when this region gets hit by moderate weather, it generally affects more people.

Seriously. I'm too busy instituting financial slavery in the Philippines to care about my penthouse in UES.

Exactly, liberals will try to equate this with Christie, when what Christie ordered was all done to research how to make traffic safer, while snow on the roads is an acute dangers, accidents will happen, people will die, purely because DiBlasio intends to destroy the 1%ers by any means.

Within, 4 hours of the storm hitting DiBlasio coordinated a citywide conspiracy involving the plow drivers, city managers and traffic control to create artificial traffic jams and doctored photos to punish Joe Lhota supporters.  Then he no doubt had everyone involved killed to silence them.

I'm just stating facts here!

I understand why New York is always the center of attention (I'm originally from there), but it amazes me how whiny New Yorkers (or at least, the ones picked and chosen for an article) get when snow isn't cleared immediately.

In the rest of the country, the snow is cleared eventually, at best.  And nobody loses their mind.

I think the reporters thing is more accurate.  It's natural for the news centers that have national coverage to focus on their own backyards, it's just annoying that the rest of us need to be given a minute-by-minute assessment of it in lieu of real news.

CSB: whenever we get a real ripper of a storm here in MA, I put on my coat at 5a.m. and walk to the beach. Then I just hang around the seawall, being all hard and shiat. Like a boss. It's just me and the plows, and sometimes one other guy shoveling, but all the whining I hear about the weather is actually on the news that's reporting it.

/city life aint so hard

Please. De Blasio lived in Park Slope. Nationally, he is a 1%er.

The only way he looks like the 'common man' is because he took over for Bloomy.

I think the real shocking thing is that the NY Post is pining for the days of the Bloomberg administration, the same Bloomberg they said was destroying NYC.

2014-01-22 03:17:11 PM
In fact, DeBlasio took cops from stop-and-frisk duty and forced them to drag UES residents out of their houses so that they could march to East New York to shovel snow, carefully watched over by liberated Central Park carriage horses.

This; the snow storm a) happened earlier than anticipated b) continued through the evening rush and c) said evening rush was gridlock conditions for the entire evening.  So snow plows can't get to the area if it's congested as hell.

Also, memo to the east siders: grow a pair.

This; put a poor person and a rich person on the same desolated island.  The rich person would whine and biatch about being on a desolated island, the poor person would do something about their conditions.

Sssssssssssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure they did *rolls eyes*

2014-01-22 03:50:38 PM
It's a broken GPS unit, which means it's just a data reporting problem and not that the plow didn't go there. So all that snow that you think is on your street isn't really present.

2014-01-22 04:00:27 PM
"They're just mistaken," said the mayor today, in response to the highly dubious, tabloid-stretched claims that he left the Upper East Side unplowed after yesterday's snow. "No one was treated differently. We believe in a five-borough approach in everything we do." He added, "I think people need to be mindful when they hurl those charges. That is not real respectful of the men and women who work so hard for us in sanitation. They were out there in force in every neighborhood." Besides, as has been pointed out, Bloomberg's snowplow guy is still in charge. And this is not New Jersey. Link
