Yeeeah, I don't think I'd want to check him into the boards.

Well, this is one way to cut down on the fighting in hockey.

...and the other Vancouver Canuck said, "I don't have to outskate the lion.  I just have to outskate you."

I thought the NHL was trying to cut back on enforcers. Will the lion have a career, or will he be just another novelty like Eddie Gaedel?

What lion does he play on?

Wow... they finally greenlighted this story.

Is this some kind of NHL minority outreach program?

A chunk of your thigh is what would keep him entertained.

I've played with enough housecats to know that the friskier they get, the more unpredictable they get. That lion is a random event away from saying "fark that orange ball, you look more interesting".

No thanks.

I wouldn't blow the whistle if he was off-sides.

2014-01-22 02:08:21 PM
As long as he stays behind the blue fe-line.

Well yeah, Africans are usually very good at sports.

Dammit, Pronger.

He's easily a 2nd line guy for the Sabers.

My first thought was "Hey, you got a cat to chase around a ball.  Congratulations."

This headline would still be more believable if it were a Canadian lion as the best hockey player in Africa.

Jim from Saint Paul: He's easily a 2nd line guy for the Sabers.

But he would be a better fit on the Predators...

Is chasing down & eating your opponent a game misconduct?

People often are shocked, SHOCKED that lions do well in cold weather at zoos because people tend to think of them as an African animal exclusivly, but they was native to europe till europeans hunted them into extinction(well before firearms).
