FrancoFile: The governor of Ohio signed an emergency order earlier this week, waiving the duty hour restrictions on truck drivers if they are carrying propane.

cryinoutloud: If you wanna hang out, you've got to take it out--propane.If you wanna get down, down on the ground--propane.

whither_apophis: FrancoFile: The governor of Ohio signed an emergency order earlier this week, waiving the duty hour restrictions on truck drivers if they are carrying propane.Icy roads. Tired drivers. Exploding cargo./glad I ain't in Ohio
Clemkadidlefark: But don't Frack. Your propane must magically appear out of nowhere ..
Well played, subby.
mjones73: Ugh, I had 209 gallons delivered last week in MD, $700 dollars. If I catch someone cranking the thermostat up in the house they are going to lose a hand.
buzzcut73: That's one thing that keeps me from getting a place out in the country--I much prefer natural gas that's been piped straight to the house for my heating and cooking needs, rather than something that has to be stored in a tank and delivered when everybody else needs some too, which can cause the price to fluctuate daily, rather than seasonally.Natual gas outages can happen, but they're relatively rare compared to the near constant shortages of propane during cold snaps like this one.
The Irresponsible Captain: Propane is a byproduct of oil and natural gas refinement. As such it is difficult for the supply to expand to meet demand despite ample feedstock. It can not simply be pumped out of the ground.Learn more at your local library internet.
planes: I called our Minnesota supplier over a week ago,and they still haven't shown up to fill our tank. Now, we're completely out, and have been able to keep things from freezing up with several electric heaters. I've called a couple of times, and yes, "I'm on the list, but you need to allow 10 business days for a delivery". I can't wait to see my electric bill next month.
KidneyStone: I can mimic Hank's voice perfectly. Doesn't help me a lot here.
riggerson: Strange how the article does not mention the fact that the US is now EXPORTING a record amount of propane.http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20131124/business/711249971/
