Came for the Hank Hill references, left satisfied.

cryinoutloud: If you wanna hang out, you've got to take it out--propane.
If you wanna get down, down on the ground--propane.

The apartment is cold and your grandma is old--propane.
It's too high, it's too high, it's too high--propane.

I shoveled a path to the grill last night.
It was fine.

planes: I called our Minnesota supplier over a week ago,and they still haven't shown up to fill our tank. Now, we're completely out, and have been able to keep things from freezing up with several electric heaters. I've called a couple of times, and yes, "I'm on the list, but you need to allow 10 business days for a delivery".  I can't wait to see my electric bill next month.

You can hook up the basic 20 lb tank that you use for your grill. It won't last but a couple of days, but it's something.

Clemkadidlefark: But don't Frack. Your propane must magically appear out of nowhere ..

you do know that natural gas and propane are two different things, right?
Of course you don't.

KidneyStone: I can mimic Hank's voice perfectly.  Doesn't help me a lot here.

I can too. I can actually do several cartoon voices spot on. One of my favorites is that Shore Leave from Venture Bros is like my regular imitating a lispy homosexual voice from before Venture Bros was on the air.

Hey!  Has anyone made a King of the Hill reference yet?  Because Hank Hill is always talking about propane and propane accessories.

JANUS!

There.

I was really pissed there weren't any storm threads on FarkLite yesterday to occupy me while sitting and watching the storm and keeping the Shaolin Shih Tzu's amused. Nothing. The east coast was getting whacked, and we were deprived of the opportunity to boast about our snow levels, alcohol stockpiles, driving stories and whinging about the Weather Channel ('cause all the hipsters were using WxUnderground, until all the others found out about it)

I ascribe this to the high and mighty mods trying to suppress the Weather Channel in their Holy Mission to name storms. Didn't want to give the Weather Channel storm naming any legitimacy by letting Fark use the  hated name, Janus! Whatsamatter, Fark, did the NWS get to you somehow?

All we got is a lame Propane thread. Weak.

Strange how the article does not mention the fact that the US is now EXPORTING a record amount of propane.

Yep, and the same people would love to be able to export natural gas, which would screw Joe Homeowner everywhere that uses that as a home heating source.

Remember, when they say exporting natural resources would be good for the economy, they mean their own personal economy, not the economy of everyone else.

I gave up on propane after Hurricane Charley.   I have an awesome generator, but trying to get propane after a hurricane is practically impossible.    I now have a little Honda inverter gasoline generator for the times when getting propane will be a nightmare.

The problem is when your drinking water magically turns to poison.
