Did he win the Science Fair project for the effects that classical music verses heavy metal versus no music had on plant growth?

I think if I worked with pot my project would have won.

Carbon filters, friend. They make a world of difference.

Beattie said it was a "well-orchestrated growing operation".

Five hundred thousand dollars worth of pot at home?

Errr.... if he could afford a home that big what does he need to sell $500k worth of pot for?

Seriously, I couldn't grow that much in my mom's half acre lot even if I installed a three story tall warehouse and did ten levels of automated hydroponics.

(maybe I should move to colorado and start a grow house....)

...and they promptly confiscated the $5,000,000 worth of marijuana and charged the grower with cultivation of $50,000,000 of a controlled substance.
The $5,000 worth of pot was booked into evidence.

I think you're all glossing over the most scandalous tidbit from the article: this monster would go into his bathroom and adjust the pH of his nutrient solution.

He should of gotten more than 2.5 Years for renting a house and destroying it like that

As long as he kept it consistent, i see no problem.

Sure, it starts with getting your pH down to 5.7, maybe 5.8, but that's just gonna be a gateway to all sorts of deviant horticultural science.  And the classical music probably means he thinks him and his plants are better than me.

That's because he was so Bizet.

That grow operation took some brass balls to conduct, but the re-percussions will knock the wind out of his sails. String him up, I say.

Assume these were recordings, since a live orchestra and chorus consume that much in a few weeks, or so I've heard.

I guess after Chopin down his crop, they can cross him off their Liszt. Dvorak!

When I lived in Las Vegas a growner down the road got busted after UPS left 10 cases of Grow Lights in the driveway.

Too bad he couldn't conduct himself in a law-abiding fashion

Best classical music to play to stimulate pot growth is of course "Der Growzenschwagalier", followed closely by Beethoven's Eighth Ball Symphony (specifically, the schitzo movement).

I have to say... What's the point of playing around with this crap? He's going to get a criminal record for something everyone knows will be legal in less than ten years.

It's a waste playing pretend.

FTFA: It cost Kemp $17,000 to kit out the spare room

You know how wrong you're doing it? How very very wrong?

If people don't know about your product, they won't miss it when it's gone.

You could do it in a 1/8 acre lot with 8 high 4" wide NFT channels about 5 meters long, with the channels roughly an inch or so apart.  Drop the clones, flower immediately. Sold by grams and at typical street price, a pound goes for $9,600. That 1/8 acre is gonna make more than 50 pounds, easily.

"GROW" IS NOT A NOUN, FFS

You have a FARM

You're fairly illiterate yourself when you fail to understand grow is used because pot/weed/cannabis is the ADVERB. I have a marijuana grow going. Marijuana is the adverb.

Back to 8th grade English for you.
