Shoo, you blacks! Shoo!

Farriers are best at shooing unarmed blacks.

I'm curious why BART PD would be doing a probation search instead of Alameda County Sheriff's Deputies or Probation Officers?  There job should center around BART, but it turns out that Officers spend less than 15 minutes of each ten hour shift on a train.

Presumably, the probationer is facing capital felony murder charges for this.  Unless he was actively resisting or fleeing when the Officer got shot, that's pretty farked up.

No doubt the person they were looking for will now be charged with murder.

Bartcop is still around?

Also, why is he racially urging people to scoot?

TFA says it's a common occurrence for them to go after people who've committed crimes on BART. Though I agree with you that this should be a real cop's job. Simply letting transit cops carry firearms seems like a really Bad Idea.

Not likely, this is Alameda County which includes Oakland & Berkeley and the DA is a big liberal.

Sometime you'll see UC police assisting local police.

Lovely.

I'm anxious to see how BART can possibly spin this one.  Sounds like the suspect was already in custody, the Officers were searching an empty residence when one of them shot another, but the final story needs to make it clear nobody farked up.

I think you're confusing current Nancy O'Malley with former DA Tom Orloff.

Yep. Then the Dublin Sheriff shot the Bart cop because the Bart cop was there. Nice command and control work, Lou.

Who's the genius who decided that cops who spend their days in overcrowded public transit stations and trains should have guns?! There's simply no situation in which it would make sense to use them.

I ride BART almost daily. It's not overcrowded. Please understand that overcrowding is not the explanation why BART police shoot and kill. It is negligent command and control.

If he wasnt there, and he gets charged, well, I think it would be time for Dexter to visit the DA and the cops.

when did cops become such irresponsible pieces of shiat?
or was it pretty much always?

did you notice that when walker was busting unions in Wisconsin, that he was OK WITH POLICE AND FIRE UNIONS!!!

FTFY. If he was in a position where an accidental discharge of his firearm could hit another cop, he obviously was poorly trained. I don't even own a gun, and I apparently know more about trigger discipline than this dipshiat.

/Assuming it was, indeed, accidental.
//The legal system's head might explode. On one hand, a cop killed someone., which usually just gets the cop a paid vacation. On the other hand, that 'someone' was another cop, which usually means PMITA prison or death while "resisting arrest".

WHY do transit cops need guns?
To deal with turnstile jumpers and drunks?

we have gone round the bend

step 1) disarm all of the police
step 2) give them camera and phones and whistles
step 3) they can call for adult assistance if there is real danger

/bonus: there would be TONS of openings in the police department

we need another force. which would be in charge of policing the cops
they would be able to shoot the cops, and just get paid vacation ....

lol
seriously, there hasnt ever been anyone watching the watchers in a long damn time
not since the DAs got tough on crime, rather than TOUGH ON JUSTICE

What's the difference? Transit cops are just cops who work in the subway. They get the same training/certification, no?

That's how subways are supposed to work. That's not overcrowded, that's running with enough passengers to pay for the service. You should visit New York (where they don't have pussified crap like escalators; you can walk up the stairs, you mook).

Well someone had to get shot, because Barney had took the time to put the bullet in the gun.  There is no unloading that bullet, because Barney missed that part of the class.

Not sure why SAD tag, unless they do charge the probationer for murdering a cop.  I wouldn't put it past the DA for that nonsense.
