Loot Ryan Air? That's like robbing a dollar store.

 RyanAIr customers deserve what they get.  Pay for crappy service,  get crappy service.

The point here is, DON'T FLY RYANAIR.

Speaking of barbaric, has anyone flown on RyanAir lately?

"After diverting to Madrid to drop off the sick passenger the flight was too far behind schedule to be able to land at Beauvais airport or even Orly airport to the south of Paris, which have night-time flying restrictions due to noise levels."

I am shocked that the pikeys that normally fly RyanAir would be anything other than civil and upstanding.

Good. There should be consequences when businesses screw their customers.

Couldn't happen to a nicer airline.

KarmicDisaster:   What kind of lootables are you going to find on a plane?

I kind of want the drink and meal cart/trolley (the airline can even keep the booze).  I always thought it might be cool for me or the missus to serve guests with one at our place.

No kidding. Miniature liquor bottles and airline food? This headline is an insult to real looters. If people were bolting down the stairway with seats and cockpit instrumentation, now that would be a respectable looting. And I wanna see that plane up on blocks, just for good measure.

A baggage handler at Nantes airport denounced the actions of the rebellious passengers saying they showed "almost animal and barbaric behavior"

If you're serious you could probably find some for sale.  There are airplane salvage yards.  You could even pick up some old seats.

Or you could just buy this one:

The Airline Galley Bars are the perfect addition to any fun or retro theme room. Each is available with optional decorative aluminum plating, custom made drawers, including ice bucket, wine & can rack, wood cutting board, cash drawer and of course, locking brakes.

There you go. Sure, it's not free like looting is, but it probably comes without the criminal charges. So there's that.

"A baggage handler at Nantes airport denounced the actions of the rebellious passengers saying they showed 'almost animal and barbaric behavior towards the plane, the crew and the ground staff.'"

This is why all flight crew and attendants should heavily armed at all times.  The only way to stop a bad animalistic and barbaric person trying to loot the perfume is to have a good animalistic and barbaric person with a gun.

Since when does a baggage handler at an airport become a spokesperson for the airline?  And what would he or she know about what the passengers aboard the plane in flight were like?

I flew on Ryanair last year, between the Canary Islands and Spain, because they were by far the cheapest option.
Much to my surprise, the experience was quite pleasant. We took no checked baggage and paid a bit extra for assigned seats (which gave us priority boarding).
Nice modern plane, and pleasant cabin crew. The flight was on time as well.
No, we didn't buy food.

Well, you see, Subby, in this airline industry, things get confused out there. Power, ideals, the old morality, and practical aviation necessity. But out there with RyanAir, it must be a temptation to be God. Because there's a conflict in every human heart, between the rational and the irrational, between good and evil. And good does not always triumph. Sometimes, the dark side overcomes what Lincoln called the better angels of our nature.

I don't understand people who are unruly on airplanes.  You are traveling across the world at speeds earlier generations couldn't fathom, in a manner once thought impossible, and you're pissed off that it took x many hours longer then it was supposed to.

Everyone on the plane got where they were going by early the next morning,and were provided hotel accomindations over night.

/Still faster then driving
//still faster then walking
///still faster then conestoga wagon

2014-01-21 07:10:48 PM
That would all depends on what the plane drops Subby. Is it trash? or end game gear?

If you have one of these at home you can play "first class air rage"  by climbing on top and taking a dump.

"Passengers fed up after more than four hours of delays"

I once sat on the tarmac in Spain for 16 hours waiting to get clearance to fly into Saudi airspace. We weren't allowed off the plane to enter the terminal or even stand on the tarmac. By the time we finally arrived we had been on that plane for over 36 hours. I really have no sympathy for these people.

That is so messed up! I'm so glad for the law in the US that they have to let you off after X hours. A couple of weeks ago we started taxiing but turned around due to a mechanical issue in one of the wing flappy things. After around 2 hours they let us back in the terminal. About 10 minutes after they opened the doors, they called everyone back and we took off. I think that was Murphy's Law kicking in.

"Mr. Lujic, do you still maintain that your actions concerning Flight 138 were somehow 'justified'?  (dialog snipped)  We're not talking about a plane crash in the Andes here, sir.  You never got off the runway.  We're talking about a delay.  You are the sole survivor of a 35-minute delay."

The article mentions perfume, which leads me to believe they were not only looting the mini liquor, but also the duty-free cart.
