Somebody probably forgot to prepare the Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads...

Rapmaster2000: Balto said that most of her fellow passengers were sympathetic to Norwegian, with few blaming the airline for its problems.

My first thought is that this was a maintenance or procedural problem.  Why did these passengers arrive at the opposite?

National pride and brand loyalty, of course, exacerbated by the media's enthusiasm for Dreamliner scare-pieces.

So apparently is sometimes leaks fule (understatement, I saw the video, it was gushing).

I am curious, is this something that can only occur immediatly due to a faulty valve, allowing the pilot ample time to stop, or land at a close airport, or randomly over the middle of the Pacific? Because if its the latter, I don't care that the pilot would have been able to see it from his instruments.

brimed03: I love how the pilot "was aware of it" since taxiing, and took off anyway; but as soon as a passenger reported it, the plane landed immediately. See, if there's a problem, ok, there's a problem. But don't lie to me about it. Because now you're the problem.

How did you figure that the plane ever took off?
