Sorry to break it to you, but, if you've waited until 16 to have the "Birds and Bees" talk with your daughter.... you are going to be a tad late on that.

thermo: apparently, from the comments on the article page, he's going gay porn.... and that probably freaks everyone out. Except his mom, who is quite proud.

Gay porn apparently pays more money..... Yet it tends to really piss off gay porn actors (if the person is straight).

Kudos to him for doing whatever is necessary to pay the bills!

I'll go a step farther and say that if you're only having one "talk" you're doing it wrong.

Kids should get any question they are mature enough to ask answered honestly, and they certainly don't wait until 16 to wonder where babies come from.  Even if they're too shy to ask, they also need a talk about puberty when their peers start to hit it, lest they be confused by the garbled information coming from them.  Then before high school they need to know about the bullshiat peer pressure to have sex, condoms, what a healthy relationship does and doesn't look like, condoms, the dangers of alcohol and sex, condoms, consent in general, and condoms.

Hell, if I'd known people would pay me to jerk off when I was 18, I wouldn't still be paying for student loans.

If your daughter is still learning about the birds and bees at 16 you failed already.

No doubt, thankfully I don't have a 16 year old daughter, or any children for that matter.  That said, I'm sure there are plenty of 16 year olds that haven't had the talk yet.  The birds and the bees talk has quite a different "starting point" when your children come home after sitting at the lunch table with Jenna Jameson.

Let's just be honest here: Somebody who hasn't had the talk with their kids by the time they turn 16 never intended to have the talk in the first place. If kids can't learn it from their parents, if their parents won't allow their teachers to teach them, if they shouldn't learn it from their peers... then where??

question_dj: Wait.  Much confuse.  He's being expelled because other kids are using their phones to download his porn and show it to other students at the school?

Wait, what?

This.

Seems to me that all of the *other* kids in the school who are downloading his stuff and showing it to the other students are the ones who are causing the 'disruption' and should also be expelled.

/zero tolerance, right???

The fact that their parents are failures is not sufficient justification for kicking this guy, who is doing nothing illegal, out of school.

HAHAHA, sufficient justification, HAHAHAHAH.  I was just bringing up a point that I can see why some idiot (or perhaps naive is a better word) parents would be worked up.  There are always two sides, and Im sure administration had both of them in their ears.

There are two sides in the sense that one side says the world is round and another says it's flat.

Thankfully, I have two boys. I remember when my oldest was starting high school. He'd gone through "health class" in
middle school and understood the basics. Our "The Talk" went something like this (not exactly but you get the gist):

"You're starting high school now. You're going to find kids your age that are dating, some even more than just dating. You're going to find that some kids your age are already having sex. You don't need to have sex just because "everyone else is doing it". We would prefer that you wait until you find someone that you genuinely love, but that decision is yours. We do insist that if you make the decision to have sex, that you wear a condom. Always. I don't care if the girl says "I can't get pregnant" or "I'm on the pill" or "It's only this one time". It only takes once. Also, if you DO have sex, don't be a jerk about it and brag to everyone. Be respectful. And always remember:

No means no.
"I really shouldn't..." means no.
"Yes but don't tell my boyfriend" means no.
"Yes" when she's anything other than stone cold sober means no.
"Yes" if she is younger than you means no."

He's 19 and I am fortunate that he is comfortable talking to me about things. My youngest is in middle school and is more than a little embarrassed to talk about that kind of stuff, but even he does. He sees his classmates dating and kissing, and he tells me, "Mom, I'm just not ready to have a girlfriend..." He worries about being picked on, but he's standing his ground. I couldn't be prouder of him :)

I've watched some cam girls. I would imagine cam dudes are about the same. It's a job, some of them put on a good performance, some of them are not meant to be able to do that type of job. If you look at it like that, understanding that this person is just trying to make some money, generally tips or subscription. I just don't have a problem with it as long as the actor is legal age. "Actor" is kind of the key word here. The person perfoming these sexual acts is somebody who is performing a service for another who is interested in paying for a brief glimpse at their fantasy, whatevere it is. it's all good, No harm done, unfortunately there can be a stigma associated with that baser instinct.
Here's a little fact, everybody masturbates. Sometimes when you masturbate, you want to have a little extra stimulation., thus internet porn is something like a couple billion dollar enterprise.

red5ish: "I think he's the most awesome person in the world," she said. "He stood up and he was the man of the house when I couldn't be."

Mother of the Year Award candidate?

As a single mom of two boys, while I have no issue with my sons making their own way and making their own choices when they are adults, I would not want to know if they chose to do PORN, and if I found out that the REASON my son felt he needed to do porn was because he felt that he needed to be "the man of the house when I couldn't be," I think I would probably kill myself.  Seriously, what kind of lazy woman says, "I am having trouble making ends meet son, so would you mind doing something skanky like a bit of gay PORN to support my meth addiction, or should I just go walk the streets myself?"  Mother of the Year indeed!

A parent's discomfort doesn't mean this kid deserves expulsion for doing nothing illegal.  They are free to remove their kids from the school though.

I love this attitude some school administrators have that if someone is bullied or teased or might be (because of their hair or clothes or some other bit of non-conformity) the victim must be removed because they're a "disruption" rather than disciplining the bullies.

Heaven forbid kids should learn to focus when there are distractions like life going on around them.  That's a skill they'll never need.

This is absolutely disgusting.

This guy was well within his rights as an adult to do this.  I would have cautioned him otherwise, but he was well within his rights.

As a student he was bullied over it.  And how did the school react?  By blaming the victim.

That is sickening.
