He's just saying what 90% of white Floridians, Rick Scott included, are thinking but are too afraid to say.  He knows his audience and is playing to it hard.

Isn't it against the law to threaten anyone with murder?

This guys needs to be brought in for questioning.  Add him to the no fly list for awhile.  See how that affects his political career.

Damn... you're right.  That happens to me all the time, when my racism flares up upon noticing racist stuff like this.  Gosh the GOP just brings out the racism in me, with all my noticing and repudiating and whatnot.  When will I learn to stop oppressing the white power brokers in this country?

I seem to recall some folks hoping that Obama would have Bush and Cheney arrested for war crimes and treason as well.  Didn't happen then, probably not going to happen now.  I say probably because the GOP are stupid enough to do something like this without thinking of all the consequences and what will happen when payback day comes.

Inciting violence against the President is a federal felony.

The "Philosophy" section of Black's campaign site is quite a read.

"If I want to go to Tampa from Saint Pete, I have my choice of bridges to cross. However, once I get on the road, my choices of lanes to drive on that bridge are limited. By what? By the law. Why the law? Because the law exists to protect human life and to allow human freedom. Without those lanes, I could kill a lot of people. Or we could simply have snarled traffic, as in most "developing nations" whose drivers don't comply with what few laws they do have. By having lanes and laws, I can go faster in the US to more places in the US than in any other country (Europe is not a country, it is a continent, and it has lanes and laws, too)."

No doubt.  But TECHNICALLY speaking, isn't he suggesting that the President should be hanged after trial and due process?  That's not really a direct threat.  How many people hold that sentiment about Bush and Cheney and have publicly said that?  Doesn't amount to a credible threat to express that sort of a thought?  Don't get me wrong, dude's a jackass but I don't really think Obama has anything to worry about from him.

I can't think of too many traitors that WERE executed. Don't they usually try to cut a deal in order to learn what secrets were given to the other side?

Who were the last traitors that were executed in due process? The Rosenbergs?

You cannot technically suggest something.  Technically he is calling for a lynching.  What his is suggesting is unclear.

I had a teacher once that made an interesting point. She pointed out that there domesticated dogs that get treated two different ways. Some dogs are let free most of the time to wander about and do their own thing. There are other dogs whose owners keep them chained to a permanent structure. And that BOTH dog owners will insist that their dogs have more freedom.

Or to put it another way: conservatives believe it is up to them to grant you the freedom to be exactly like them; and woe betide if you don't.

So...how long until there's a two-sentence article on page 85 under the tide schedules reading "Pinellas County GOP elects new Chairman. Liberal RINO America-hater Michael Guju replaced with Gadsden-flag-face-tattooed True Patriot?"
