Yeah subby, that's how it works. It's not a valid NFL shirt, and they own the licensing rights. You know what's even MORE shocking? THEY KNOW THIS WHEN THEY MAKE THE SHIRTS. Yep, the cat's out of the bag now, Modell's Sporting Goods knew when they signed the paperwork for the licensing that if the Patriots failed to show up on Sunday, they would have half a million dollars' worth of shirts that they couldn't sell.

Weird, isn't it?

I remember being amazed by this when I was 12 also.

Yup the runs of wrong conference champ and league champ shirts that have to be given away is one of the main reasons licensed merchandise is so high.

Yeah, personally, I'd rather wait 24 or 48 hours for a shirt than have the shiat that goes along with a million incorrect pieces of merch that gets wasted. Even donating shirts, there is a better way to do this.
