Wadded Beef: I saw my house!/Not really.

dfacto: That's some very dangerous flying made to look easy! Check out 4:00 in the video and you see the last skydiver pretty much goes from the top of the stadium to ground level in 4 seconds. If they don't pull up in time their they're legs will be jelly.
Polish Brainiac: Is parking THAT expensive?
FriarED1: Polish Brainiac: Is parking THAT expensive?Yes. You'd think a stadium would have enough parking spaces, but the video shows how small the parking lots are, so they charge a bunch to park there.
Oldiron_79: The last large event I was at with skydivers one of them died.
dittybopper: Oldiron_79: The last large event I was at with skydivers one of them died.D-Day?
Monkey2: And then this young boy came up to me and said "ticket please".
tillerman35: I always wondered if there isn't a strong rotor at the windward lip of the stadium. As the breeze goes over the stadium, it should curl inward, forming a tube very much like the ones you see surfers shooting through. Rotors can break free of the obstacles the cause them and roll downwind, so it's not good enough just to avoid the obstacle itself. At the little airport where I used to fly, the runway was parallel to and about 100ft from a stand of trees. Pilots coming in for the first time would frequently get surprised by a rolling rotor as they landed. The effect made lighter aircraft do an unanticipated sharp roll away from the treeline. In a stadium, the effect might be a sudden downdraft dropping the canopy faster than expected or a bit of unexpected lift if the windward side of the rotor was encountered first. Which might explain why they drop into the stadium so quickly: the less time they spend near/in the potential rotor and the more momentum they have going in, the less likely they will be thrown off course by it.
