Thanks Omaha.

Can't we just give Nebraska back to the Indians?

I bet it was a bootstrappy Job Creator choosing not to buckle under the weight of all that government regulation and just going Galt on safety procedures.

This explains everything!  Peyton is a terrorist, but was trying to warn us for the past 2 weeks and nobody would listen.

Oh dear god this is tragic.  2 people lost their lives, thousands of animal owners will now be buying lead, mercury and melamine laced Chinese animal food for their beloved pets.  This is really bringing me down.  I hope the families of the victims have the properly supports in place in these trying times.

Does Peyton take requests? Maybe next game he can yell Detroit and Cleveland just to see what happens.

Quoting from a CNN story...

International Nutrition was fined $10,000 by OSHA in 2013 after a lengthy investigation found six violations, including two related to electrical safety standards for machines that were undergoing maintenance, Allen said.

I'll bet it was cheaper for these guys to simply pay the fines and not to make any repairs, the final result being "boom".

"You ought not do this one unless you're parents are around, because you're using FIRE!"

2014-01-20 08:23:33 PM
So evidently saying "Omaha" in a game during the snap count too many times overcharges the city and causes explosions? Payton might wanna remember that in a couple weeks...

You should be thankful that you were not blown up in an animal feed facility.  There are at least two people today who probably wish they could be around to read my posts.  Well, technically they're dead so I guess in reality there are no people around who wish they could read my posts.  In fact, I'd posit there are probably dozens, maybe even hundreds who wish they could have their 4 seconds back.  But I'm not in the business of refunding time.

That's what I was thinking.  My FIL's farm had to build a new grain elevator back in the 80's when the old one exploded.

We could make safety violations whistleblowers get half the fine money as a reward. I bet that would stop a lot of this.

We also heard a lot of Montana, and some Batman too.  Batman is explained by Affleck not being ready to be Batman, but...what's gonna happen to Montana next?

Dust is what it ends up being probably 3/4 of the time. When I was a little kid in Texas, a big grain elevator about a mile away from our house blew it's cookies that way. HUGE explosion that broke windows around the neighborhood and blasted it to smithereenies.

2014-01-20 08:56:04 PM
No hazardous materials on site...

So probably grain dust. Basically, take anything that *can* burn, grind it up really fine and give it oxygen and a spark, you've got yourself an explosion.

Yep, there's a huge plant down in Guntersville, AL by the river. Huge silos I've always wondered about the possibility as I drove by on my why to Atlanta.
