(Bleacher Report)   One Seahawks fan possibly could have thrown around ten pieces of popcorn down on Navarro Bowman as he was carted off the field. This naturally means all Seahawks fans are the worst people ever and that Peyton Manning will be on Mount Rushmore   (bleacherreport.com) divider line 358

Agent Nick Fury: I guess the NFC West fans are the new SEC fans with all the "we play in the toughest conference in the NFL" bullshiat.

Maybe if one of the four teams had won a championship this century you would be taken more seriously.

What about the Rams?

Don't be so mad, guy whose team can't make the playoffs.

Again, the key word is "team" - my team didn't make the playoffs but there is no way in hell I would be rooting for the Bengals or Ravens because they're "in my division".

I don't think anyone was saying that we'd root for the other team within the division. We're just pointing out that we're the best of the best. I'm kinda worried that the Broncos are gonna get that FSU-esque win where they played no one all year but manage to eke out a win against the only good team they play.

Your_Huckleberry: Wasn't it the ex-ref that FOX uses who quoted the rule? But I don't remember the difference between roughing and running being defined by what leg you hit.

As noted earlier, apparently within the last couple years they revised the rule to say such. I already admitted my bad - the link I posted was evidently from 2011, because a google of the NFL Rulebook without the year apparently returns the 2011 one.

No worries, I was late to the party.

I watched the replay of the game last night and I have to admit I didn't notice Kap booting that fumble forward before.I don't know if that was totally intentional, but it sure worked for them and I've seen less called. Also, unlike the World Series, I think Buck was very much pulling for San Fransisco.

mentallo69: detroitdoesntsuckthatbad: The quote from Richard Sherman was very eloquent and well said.  No doubt it was written by the same guy who was interviewed by Erin Andrews last night.

You do realize what people say in moments of adrenaline and what they say later are the result of two different mentalities.

Nevermind that Sherman graduated #2 in his high school and is a Graduate of Stanford.  Stanford.....they do not exactly graduate idiots at Stanford

He was a football player. If you honestly think Stanford is above finding ways to put talented idiots on their team, you are naive as f*ck.

Fox does that. I remember the game where we were down there - any play where we got away with something, 30 replays and lamentations about how we're cheating from the booth. San Francisco does the same thing, maybe it's occurring in the background of the play and they never mention it once. Crabtree fumbled in that game and there was no Mike Periera (on Twitter, he said it was a fumble and a horrible call). No replay on replay. Just a, "on to the next play!"

Still, calling Sherman an idiot says more than a little about yourself, because it's clearly not true.

Oh, and I'd like to point out that there's video of Bowman pre-game in that corner, taking a fan's sign, tearing it in half, then throwing it on the ground. So I guess we can stop pretending he's a super guy, too.

Do you have any evidence to the contrary?

Stanford is one of the few schools that has much higher entrance standards than the NCAA minimum that most schools use.

Like him or not, he is an extremely intelligent person.

Video is from 2012, and the fans were begging him to do it. According to the commenters (Yeah, I never believe 'em either) it was something obscene.

Yeah, I corrected the statement from earlier. Still, the video was shot from around where the popcorn was "thrown".

/still makes me feel less bad about the popcorn
//injury is still gross, though, and I hope he gets better soon
///maybe he'll be "superhuman" in his recovery, just like Justin Smith and Michael Crabtree =)
