I've known a few 3-legged dogs in my life, and they've all been oblivious to that condition.  And I've known a blind dog who didn't seem too bothered by that disability either (while in the company of their seeing human).  Never known one with both challenges, though.

So he named his dog after a missing aviator who hid in a closet from Hitler?

The dog clearly cannot do it on its own.

WTF tripod dogs WTF

In my first 40 years of life, I met one thee-legged dog. Now I have three three-legged dogs in my neighborhood.

/ I guess in the past they were simply euthanized
// Looking forward to the three legged race at this year's block party

We have a trailer for Suzy. She is going

SKWERL!

blind but that's not why we got it. We got it because she is

SKWERL!

part Beagle. The nose part. We tried to get her to run

SKWERL!

along side our bikes. but she

SKWERL!

always seemed to find something to distract her.

At least we can take some comfort in the fact that dogs have much crappier sight than we do but amazingly superior sense of smell. They experience the world so much through scent and hearing already that losing their sight isn't quite as much a loss as it is for a human.

There was a guy in our neighborhood 10 years ago who did exactly that for his dog.

I had a dog that ran away a lot and then it got hit by a car and lost it's leg. After that the lil farker would still run away and it was still fast as hell.

What's the point in removing the animals eyes for glaucoma, if it was already blind?

Faith in humanity to care more for a dog than babies needing adoption.  I've known people who say that "It's not like my dog babies are people, they are better than people".

Not long after I moved to B'more I met a guy who walked his old dog everywhere using one of those wheeled walkers with the shelf to sit on. Blanket on the shelf, dog on the blanket, life was good.

That dog died last summer... I miss him, he was a good old dog.

Hector Remarkable: So he named his dog after a missing aviator who hid in a closet from Hitler?

You're thinking of Clara Barton.

Keller is the woman who discovered plutonium, though why he'd name the dog after her is anyone's guess.

People I know have a dog that's blind and deaf ( but it does have all four legs )
It bumps around the house and when it finds a visitor sniffs the living bejeezus out of them!
He seems happy.

Does the dog stand on the guy's front lawn to remind him that there are three feet in a yard?

The pressure build up is incredibly painful.  Read this:  http://www.glaucoma.org/gleams/what-are-the-symptoms-of-glaucoma.php

™ I would've guessed he'd name her Pi, but naming her after a 17th century British monarch seems appropriate.

I haven't made a bike trailer for Daisy, but we have a Radio Flyer wagon and I pull her around when we all go for a walk. Bulldog in a red wagon... I get extra exercise with the weight resistance, she gets to ride around, meet people, and collect scratches behind the ears. Works for everyone.

/not blind
//has all four legs
///she's just old, can't walk too far anymore
////but sweet and cute
//five slashies

I'm not sure, you're the one who seemed to be taking great offense at some guy who builds wagons for his 3-legged blind dog instead of adopting crack babies or something.
